Sunday May 11th, 2014 at approximately 3:59 a.m. an explosion was heard in the area of 121 Morgan Avenue, Kitchener. Waterloo Regional Police, Emergency Medical Services and Kitchener Fire Department attended the scene to find a car fully engulfed in flames. The owner, who was in close proximity to the vehicle, was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by Kitchener Fire Department Fire Prevention officers.
