On Thursday the 12th of June 2014, just after 5pm, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drug Branch, with the assistance of Emergency Response officers, arrested a Kitchener male in the Old Carriage Drive area of Kitchener. The male is suspected of trafficking heroin, methamphetamine and oxycodone pills. Police subsequently executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances act search warrant at the male’s residence on Old Chicopee Drive in Kitchener. The investigation, arrest and search warrant resulted in the seizure of 105 grams of heroin, 714 grams of methamphetamine, 180 oxycodone pills, $2735 in cash, a starter pistol and a Honda Prelude. The approximate street value of the drugs seized was in excess of $68 000. The male was charged with 1 count of Trafficking, 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, one count of Weapons Dangerous and was held for show cause.
