(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday June 08, 2014 shortly before 2 a.m. a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) program was conducted by North Perth Ontario Provincial Police Officers (OPP) at the intersection of Wallace Ave. North and McDonald St. East.
Officers stopped an SUV and determined that the male driver, a 30 year old Municipality of North Perth resident had been drinking alcoholic beverages. The driver registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) from .05 to .08. A check of the driver’s licencing history revealed that this was the second time he had a similar reading within the past 5 years. As a result his driver’s licence was seized and has been suspended for 7 days. His vehicle was also towed from the scene.
