(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 39 year old male will be without a driver’s licence after his licence was suspended for three days following a traffic stop on June 8, 2014. Shortly before 3:00 a.m. the driver of a Dodge Caravan entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint located on Main Street and the Square in Bayfield. Upon speaking with the driver the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer detected the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The driver provided a sample of his breath on a roadside screening device and he registered a warning. As a result, a 39 year old male from Sault Ste. Marie was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
