(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating two bank robberies that occurred yesterday in the Lincoln Heights area and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.
On Monday June 23, 2014, at approximately 5:30 pm, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated along the 1400 block of Richmond Rd. The suspect provided a note making a demand for money and indicating he was armed. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash. The suspect was last seen running toward the Lincoln Heights mall.
On the same date, at approximately 7:20 pm, the same suspect entered another bank also situated along the 1400 block of Richmond Rd. The suspect provided a note making a demand for money. The suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
There were no injuries stemming from either robbery.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 25-35 years, approximately 6’0†(183cm), pale complexion, 150 lbs, thin build, red or blonde hair, stained teeth. The suspect wore a bright orange construction style jacket, and jeans and sneakers. (see attached images)
