(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Today, at approximately 7:09 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Wellington Road 16 at Line 2 in Wellington North Township. (formerly West Luther Twp).
Wellington County OPP officers responded along with the Wellington North Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services.
Investigation revealed that a 2003 Grand Prix was eastbound on Line 2 of Wellington North Township when it collided with a 2004 Honda Civic that was southbound on Wellington Road 16 in Wellington North Township.
The driver and lone occupant of the Grand Prix, Austin ADAMS-LUNDY aged 19 of Arthur succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver and lone occupant of the Honda, a 54 year old male from Toronto, was transported to a local hospital and subsequently airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.
Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) assisted by the Highway Safety Division TCI are investigating the collision.
Victim Services were notified.

Wellington Road 16 remains closed at Wellington Road 109 and Line 4 of Wellington North Township. Line 2 is closed at Side Road 13 and at Wellington Road 14 in Wellington North Township while the investigation is still ongoing.
