Marco LUNA PAREDES – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after two-vehicle collision on Highway 401.

On October 25, 2025, at 3:39 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Thames Centre Fire were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Elgin Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a collision between two vehicles.

One involved driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Marco LUNA PAREDES, a 21-year-old of Leamington, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous operation

·      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on November 13, 2025.

There were no injuries reported.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
