    Lake effect snow squalls are expected. Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of up to 35 cm by Friday evening. Poor visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

    Timing: Continuing through Friday. Discussion: Lake effect snow squalls are expected to track across the area today and tonight. Northwest winds gusting up to 60 km/h can result in blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility at times. Some areas may see lake effect snow into the weekend. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.

    Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
