On June 14th, 2014 at approximately 12:45 am, an unknown male was observed committing an indecent act outside a female’s bedroom window in the area of William Street and Westminster Ave., in the Preston area of Cambridge. The male was described as a White, age 14 to 18 years, wearing black / dark shoes, light colored pants, a grey hooded sweatshirt, with a dark baseball cap or dark hair. Police are requesting anyone who may have information about this incident to contact them at 519-653-7700 ext. 2299. Police are also reminding residents to ensure their homes are always properly secured.

On Thursday June 12, 2014, at 10:57 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police Service and Kitchener Fire Department were called to Brybeck Crescent, Kitchener, for a vehicle fire. The 2002 Ford was fully engulfed and the fire is being treated as suspicious. On Friday June 13, 2014 just after 1am, an adult male was walking along David Street in Kitchener when he was assaulted by a group of males and robbed of a variety of personal items. The males then fled the area. The victim suffered injuries but declined hospital treatment. Location: MAPLE GROVE RD, CAMBRIDGE, ON Canada

On Thursday the 12th of June 2014, just after 5pm, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drug Branch, with the assistance of Emergency Response officers, arrested a Kitchener male in the Old Carriage Drive area of Kitchener. The male is suspected of trafficking heroin, methamphetamine and oxycodone pills. Police subsequently executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances act search warrant at the male’s residence on Old Chicopee Drive in Kitchener. The investigation, arrest and search warrant resulted in the seizure of 105 grams of heroin, 714 grams of methamphetamine, 180 oxycodone pills, $2735 in cash, a starter pistol and a Honda Prelude. The approximate street value of the drugs seized was in excess of $68 000. The male was charged with 1 count of Trafficking, 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, one count of Weapons Dangerous and was held for show cause.

On June 11, 2014 at approximately 2:00pm a person on person robbery occurred in the area of Fairway Road and Wilson Av in the city of Kitchener. A male was threatened with a knife during the incident. Police responded to the area and were able to apprehend the suspect after brief foot pursuit around numerous businesses in the area and with the assistance of the canine unit. The incident was targeted and there was no threat to general public safety during the incident. A 20 year old Kitchener male is charged with robbery, weapons and drug offences. On Wednesday June 11, 2014 at approximately 11:10pm an unknown male approached another male in the parking lot of 1020 Ottawa Street North in Kitchener. The male suspect brandished a small pocket knife and demanded money. The suspect received a small amount of cash and fled the area on foot last seen heading down Ottawa Street North towards 1005 Ottawa Street North. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a White male 5’10”-5’11” in his thirties with a skinny build wearing a green long sleeve shirt, jeans and beige work boots. The victim did not sustain any injuries. On June 11, 2014, Waterloo Regional Police arrested and charged a New Hamburg chiropractic doctor after an employee discovered a hidden camera in the office washroom. Police were contacted on June 3 and launched an investigation. A search warrant was executed and numerous pieces of electronic equipment were seized for forensic analysis. Jason HURD, 41, of Waterloo has been charged with three counts of Voyeurism. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 30th, 2014. Police continue to investigate and further charges are possible. 0n 6 June 2014, just after 5pm, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drug Branch continuing an investigation into illegal drugs and drug activity, arrested a Kitchener male outside a residence on Churchill Street in Waterloo. The male was found in possession of 14 grams of crack cocaine, 13 grams of marihuana bud, $360 in Canadian currency, 2 cell phones and a digital scale. The 27 year old male was charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) and held for a show cause hearing.

On Sunday June 8, 2014 at 6:35 pm, police responded to a disturbance in a parking lot of a Woodside Avenue, Cambridge apartment building. Upon arrival, police located and arrested a male in possession of several edged weapons. Police learned that the male had entered the apartment building and tried to break into a unit. When he was unsuccessful, he left the building and remained in the parking lot. The incident was not random. A 41 year old Cambridge male was charged with weapons dangerous, two counts of break and enter with intent, wear disguise with intent,utter threats to cause death, carry concealed weapon and cause disturbance and held for a show cause hearing.

A building at the cemetery was found vandalized inside and out. Damage is estimated at several thousand dollars. Location: WEST RIVER RD, NORTH DUMFRIES, ON Canada
On Thursday June 5, 2014 at 9:55 pm a black 2003 Buick Rendezvous motor vehicle with three 20 year old Cambridge males was southbound on West River Road in Cambridge when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle sheered off an electrical pole and then flipped onto its side striking a tree. The vehicle came to rest on the front lawn of a nearby residence. All three occupants were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. One passenger was transferred to a Hamilton hospital with spinal injuries. A second vehicle, a red 2004 Chrysler Intrepid drove into the downed utility pole in the darkness. The driver, a 19 year old Cambridge male, was briefly trapped in his vehicle by the downed powerlines. He was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor. The driver was charged with Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm and released with a court date. Waterloo Regional Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision. Location: HOMER WATSON BLVD and NEW DUNDEE RD, KITCHENER ON Canada
On Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at approximately 1525 hrs., a brown Honda Civic driven by a 56 yr. old Waterloo woman was westbound in the left turn lane of Homer Watson Blvd. approaching New Dundee Road. At the same time, a blue Freightliner tractor trailer was southbound on Homer Watson Blvd. approaching New Dundee Road. The Honda began to turn left onto New Dundee Road and was struck by the tractor trailer. The driver of the Honda was extricated from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Cambridge Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Police attended and investigated. On June 4th, 2014 members of the South Division Crime Management Team conducting a Controlled Drug and Substances Act investigation, arrested a 32 year old Cambridge male. The male was charged with possession of methamphetamines, cocaine and marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property and breaching his probation. Also charged with drug related offences as a result of the investigation is a 52 year old male and a 38 year old female.

On the 4th June 2014 at approximately 2pm, a young Kitchener girl was followed by a male walking in the area of Gibson Dr. and River Rd. in Kitchener. The male did not say or do anything to the girl. The male is described as a White, 30-40 years, 5’9 – 5’11”
