Prescription Drug Drop-off Day

On Saturday May 10, 2014 the Saugeen Shores Police are hosting a prescription drug drop-off day. This initiative is in response to the growing concerns arising from the abuse of prescription medication. We intend to provide a safe, simple and environmentally conscious way for our community to dispose of their unwanted, unneeded and expired prescription medications. Our goal is to eliminate the possibility that these drugs may fall into the wrong hands and potentially ruin the lives of others. You can contribute to a safer community by dropping off unneeded/expired prescription drugs.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in this event. There is no obligation to provide your name or the details concerning how you obtained the prescription medication. Every participant will remain completely anonymous.

The public is reminded that unneeded/expired prescription medications can be returned at any time, year-round to their local pharmacy.
