Violent Repeat Offender Arrested Again – William (Willy) Scharf #3Strikes

(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following the execution of an arrest warrant for a person who had been the subject of a social media release.

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, Lanark County OPP officers along with the OPP Tactical Response Team (TRU), OPP Canine Units, Emergency Response Team (ERT), Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE) and Lanark County Crime Unit, located and arrested a wanted person at a residence in Lanark Highlands Township.

The accused was the subject of a warrant from an incident on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Drummond-North Elmsley Township where a firearm was discharged at a residence.

William (Willy) Scharf, 51-years-old from North Grenville Township, has been charged with:

·        Assault with a weapon – two counts

·        Assault causing bodily harm

·        Assault

·        Uttering threats – two counts

·        Mischief under $5000 – two counts

·        Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose – two counts

·        Pointing a firearm – two counts

·        Discharge a prohibited firearm

·        Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm

·        Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm

·        Fail to comply with Prohibition order

·        Driving under Suspension

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 25, 2025.

Murder – Repeat Offender Arrested #3Strikes #SeenThePatternYet? #Enough?

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to a sudden death investigation in Simcoe.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at approximately 2:55 p.m., officers were dispatched for a well-being check at a residence on Norfolk Street. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased individual.

As a result of the investigation, one person has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Second degree murder, section 235(1)

·      Fail to comply with probation order, section 733.1(1) – two counts

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe today and remains in custody.

The names of the victim and accused are being withheld under provisions of a court-ordered publication ban.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there is a threat to public safety.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, continues this ongoing investigation.

Repeat Offender Sends One To Hospital With Serious Injuries #3Strikes

(CENTRE HASTINGS TWP., ON) – An individual, wanted in connection with a serious assault in Centre Hastings, has been arrested and taken into custody.

On Monday, April 14, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., officers with the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault on Wellington Street.

When they arrived at the scene, officers located a seriously injured male who was transported to hospital by Hastings-Quinte Paramedics.

On Friday, April 25, 2025, members of the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad arrested the wanted male without incident at a residence in Tweed.

Samuel KOCH, age 44 of Centre Hastings, is charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death of bodily harm – two counts
  • Theft
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Derick SULLIVAN Arrested AGAIN!

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a suspect after a theft of power tools in the City of Pembroke.

Between April 17 and April 20, 2025, a person entered a workshop and a business van on Lea St. in the City of Pembroke. Several tools were taken. During the investigation a suspect was identified.

On April 24, 2025, police located the individual and arrested them. When they were arrested a quantity of suspected fentanyl was located.

Derick SULLIVAN, 39 years old, of Pembroke was arrested and charged with theft under $5000, break out of a place, fail to comply with probation order and possession of a schedule I substance.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on April 25, 2025.

Easton Childerhose Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – On April 24, 2025 at 5:01p.m., Huntsville OPP officers responded to a report of a male possibly brandishing a weapon in the area of the Huntsville Place Mall on King William Street.  

The investigation revealed the accused, a male suspect, had brandished what was believed to be a knife and was behaving aggressively. Although the suspects behaviour was aggressive, no members of the public were injured. The male left the area but was quickly located at an apartment building a short distance away.

Witnesses provided valuable information and as a result of the investigation a male was arrested without incident.

At this time, the accused, Easton Childerhose, 22 years old of Huntsville Ontario has been charged with:

·      Assault with a Weapon

·      Weapons Dangerous

·      Assault Peace Officer X 2

·      Breach of Probation X 2

The accused was held in custody and will appear in Bail Court before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on April 25, 2025.

Tim GUNTER Was Arrested Again

On April 22, 2025, shortly after 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a location in the Town of Bancroft, where there was a break and enter in progress. When officers arrived, the suspects were on scene and arrested a short time later.

Tim GUNTER, age 47, and Katrina MOREAU, age 32, were charged with the following offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

GUNTER was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 24, 2025. MOREAU was held for bail and released by the courts with a court date of May 6, 2025

Eron ROCHESTER Was Arrested Again

(BURWASH TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police charged the driver that fled from a traffic stop.

On Monday April 21, 2025, at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 69, Burwash Township, south of Sudbury.

While police were conducting an investigation with the driver, who had provided false documents, the vehicle fled north towards Sudbury. The driver was later identified and arrested on April 23, 2025, by Greater Sudbury Police Service.

As a result of the investigation, Eron ROCHESTER, 28 years-of-age, from Toronto, was charged with:

  • Flight from peace officer
  • Dangerous operation
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (Identity fraud)
  • Possession of an identity document
  • Use document without authority
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court -two counts

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 24, 2025, in Sudbury.

Jeremy RICHARDSON Was Arrested Again

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered a stolen ATV and charged the individual caught operating it.

On Sunday April 20, 2025, a Peterborough County OPP officer was conducting general patrol on County Road 45 in the township of Asphodel-Norwood. The officer observed a four-wheel all terrain vehicle (ATV) approaching and attempted to stop the vehicle to speak with the driver. The driver of the ATV slowed as they came closer to the officer and then continued past regardless of the officer’s attempt to wave them down.

The officer while attempting to locate the ATV, was approached and provided information that led to the location of the driver who was inevitably arrested. During the investigation, it was determined that the ATV being operated was one that had been recently reported as stolen.

Jeremy RICHARDSON (age 44) of Keene, ON., was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Operation while Prohibited under the Criminal Code (two counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Repeat Offender Branden LANE Arrested Again

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after receiving information they were breaching their release conditions.

On April 19, 2025, just prior to 6:30am, officers from the Peterborough County OPP received information that an individual currently on release conditions, was out when they shouldn’t be. Officers located the individual on Division Road, riding a motorcycle and attempted to stop vehicle which fled from them. A short while later, the vehicle was located at the side of the road but the driver was not with it.

Officers requested a K-9 unit to be dispatched to assist with locating the individual. Shortly after the search began, the individual in question was located hiding among the trees and officers arrested them.

Branden LANE (age 35) from Havelock, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Dangerous Operation

·      Flight from Peace Officer

·      Fail to comply with Probation Order

·      Operation while Prohibited

·      Failure to comply with Release Order

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

·      Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt

·      Driving while under suspension

·      Drive motor vehicle, no plates

·      Drive without proper headlights

·      Drive motor vehicle – improper licence

·      Drive motor vehicle – no permit

·      Operate unsafe vehicle 

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Melissa TURCOTTE Was Arrested Again #3Strikes

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A local individual is facing multiple criminal charges after a report of a stolen taxi led to an impaired driving arrest in Kirkland Lake.

On Monday March 3, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a stolen taxi in the area of Government Road West in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver failed to comply with police commands and was arrested at the scene. Further investigation determined that the driver was impaired by a substance. The individual was transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for a drug recognition evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

As a result of the investigation, Melissa TURCOTTE, a 37-year-old from Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with the following:

·     Theft under $5,000 of a motor vehicle

·     Dangerous operation

·     Failure to stop after accident

·     Resist peace officer

·     Operation while impaired – drugs

·     Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

·     Driving while under suspension – two counts

The accused was remanded into custody and is next scheduled to appear before the Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on May 15, 2025.

Abusive Repeat Offender Arrested Again #3Strikes

(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – One person was arrested twice within 24 hours.

On Sunday, April 20, 2025, at approximately 4:15 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol in Cobalt when they arrested an individual in relation to an ongoing investigation.

A 41-year-old person, of no fixed address, was charged with the following:

  • Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence – three counts
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000.

On Sunday, April 21, 2025, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers with the Temiskaming OPP responded to a disturbance at a residence on Prospect Avenue in Cobalt.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the same 41-year-old person, of no fixed address, with the following:

  • Spousal assault – two counts
  • Causing a disturbance
  • Failing to comply with probation order

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, at a later date.

Melissa TURCOTT Was Arrested Again – Arson

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – An arson investigation leads to charges against one individual.

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Kirkland Lake Fire Department responded to a fire on Government Road East and to a second fire on McKelvie Avenue in the Town of Kirkland Lake. The Kirkland Lake Crime Unit was engaged and conducted an investigation, resulting in charges being laid on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Melissa TURCOTT, 37 years-old, of Kirkland Lake was charged with the following:

  • Arson – Disregard for Human life – two counts
  • Arson – Damage to Property – two counts
  • Fail to Comply with Probation – four counts

The accused remains in custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Thursday May 15, 2025.

Andrew HEPBURN Was Arrested Again

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – Prohibited driver charged in Elliot Lake.

On April 12, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m. the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol duties on Spruce Avenue. Police recognized a black car with a known suspended driver.

A subsequent vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was arrested. The vehicle was also towed and impounded.     

Andrew HEPBURN, 28-years-old, of Elliot Lake was charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Driving while under suspension – while suspended under HTA Sec 41/42
  • Driving while under suspension (two counts)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 12, 2025.

Dawn MOOSE Was Arrested Again

(KENORA, ON) – On April 15, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of mischief at a local church.

Police were notified that suspect had thrown a brick through a window of the Church, and that the suspect was trying to gain entry to the church. Police located the suspect, who then resisted police direction as she was being placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Dawn MOOSE, 22-years-old of Kenora, Ontario has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Mischief Under $5,000

·      Resist Peace Officer

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was remanded into custody and will appear before the Ontario court of Justice at a later date.

ALERT: Dylan GREENE Wanted By Police #3Strikes

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) – Arrest warrants have been issued for an individual after multiple incidents in Lanark County and Smiths Falls.

A disturbance was reported to Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on Thursday, April 17, 2025, just before 1:00 a.m. at a residence in Mississippi Mills Township. An individual broke in and proceeded to destroy property. The person then fled the scene in a black Nissan Versa with either stolen or no plates attached.

A short time later, an OPP officer from Leeds County located the vehicle at a gas station in the Town of Smiths Falls. When the officer attempted to block the vehicle in, the driver deliberately crashed into the cruiser and then fled the scene.

The investigation has found that the same person had attended the same Mississippi Mills residence on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, when several individuals were assaulted

Arrest warrants have been issued for Dylan GREENE, 24-years-old of Lanark County. Charges include break and enter, mischief, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm, as well as several probation-related and Highway Traffic Act charges.

The OPP believes these were targeted incidents and there was no risk to public safety.

Lanark OPP County urges Dylan GREENE to turn himself in to police.
