Another Pedestrian Killed

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A pedestrian is deceased after being struck by a vehicle in the Municipality of Leamington.

On April 16, 2025, at approximately 2:10 p.m., members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Leamington Fire Department and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Erie Street South in Leamington.

The pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team are actively conducting an investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance.

Pedestrian Rundown In Palmerston Then Airlifted To Hospital

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on scene with a motor vehicle collision on Main Street West within Palmerston, involving a pedestrian being struck.

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Wellington County OPP received a report that a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Main Street West within Palmerston. The pedestrian has since been transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.

Main Street West was closed as a result of the collision but has since been reopened.

The investigation is still ongoing. Updates will be provided as they become available.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team was consulted, and the Wellington County OPP is conducting the investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has information, such as dashcam footage, that could assist with this ongoing investigation is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Pedestrain Suffers Life Threatening Injuries

(CHATSWORTH) – On March 7, 2025, at 7:50 a.m., the Grey Bruce and South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Arran Elderslie Fire Department, Grey County Emergency Services and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision versus a pedestrian on the Grey Bruce Line.

A 28-year-old pedestrian from Aurora was transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries. 

The Grey Bruce Line between Concession 2 and Concession 4 is now opened.

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and the Ministry of Labor is assisting with the investigation.
