Trixie THOMPSON Was Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person following reports of harassment.

In March, Bancroft OPP received a complaint of harassing communications in which an individual was warned to stop communicating with the victim.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, police were notified that the communication had continued.

As a result, on May 7, 2025, Trixie THOMPSON, 54, of Quinte West was charged with harassing communications.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on June 3, 2025.

Drunk Dialing 911 Ends With Arrest

(TOWNSHIP OF THE NORTH SHORE, ON) – Intoxicated 911 caller arrested.

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a third false 911 call at a residence on Highway 17 in the village of Spragge.

Investigation determined the caller was intoxicated for all three 911 calls and was apparently bored. The caller was warned each time not to call 911 for non emergent matters. The first false 911 call came in at approximately 3:30 a.m. and the second false 911 call was at approximately 8:30 p.m. The accused was spoken to again and warned.  

As a result of a third false 911 call, Jackie MCCOLL, 48 years-of-age from Spragge was charged with – Harassing Communications, and was lodged at Blind River detachment until sober.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on December 5, 2024.
