On June 15, 2014, at 4:17 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Chesterton Lane residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the garage sometime over the previous few days. The theft of a bicycle and Samsung Note is reported.

On June 15, 2014, at 5:41 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Huron Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) had entered through a side door sometime over the previous four hours. It is unknown at this time if a theft occurred.

Theft from cars

Over the weekend the Guelph Police received seven reports from Guelph residents reporting thefts from their cars. The locations were Regent Street, Queensdale Crescent, Winston Crescent, Hanlon Creek Boulevard, Grinyer Drive and two on Hill Trail.

On June 12, 2014, at 12:50 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Village Green Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. The resident had gone out for a walk and returned to find a screen missing from the garage interior door and items out of place. No theft has been reported.

14-year-old male steals package and lawnmower – arrested

On June 12, 2014 at 11:25 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the Speedvale area after receiving the report of a male stealing from homes. It is alleged that the male had stolen a delivered package from a front porch on Clive Avenue before making his way to Delhi Street where he entered a garage and stole a lawnmower. Police located the male pushing the mower nearby and he was arrested.

A 14-year-old Guelph male has been charged with theft under $5,000 and break, enter and commit. He will appear in court on July 16, 2014.

Car injures woman

On June 12, 2014 at 3:37 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woodlawn Glen home to investigate the report of a female injured by a car. Investigation alleges that the woman’s own vehicle moved on her and caused a significant injury to her leg. She was taken to Guelph hospital.

Theft from cars, arrest made

On June 12, 2014 at 2:05 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Stuart and Lemon Street to investigate the report of a male dressed in black going through vehicles. Police were able to locate and arrest the male.

Aaron SAMUEL, 24 years of Guelph has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession under $5000. He will appear in court on July 25, 2014.

Bicycle Thefts

On June 11, 2014, the Guelph Police received reports of five bicycle thefts in the areas of Ingram Drive, Kent Street, Hilltop Road and Edinburgh Road South. Remember to secure your bicycle with a lock.

Car scratched – arrest made

On June 10, 2014 at 2:15 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the Woolwich Street area after receiving a call about a man that was seen scratching a parked car. Police located the man nearby and arrested him. This appears to have been a random act as the man and the owner of the car are not known to each other. The damage to the car is estimated at approximately $1,500.

A 27-year-old Guelph man has been charged with mischief under $5,000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 11, 2014.
