Bodies of Man & Woman Found

The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the deaths of two persons in Old Barrhaven.

Police were called to a residence on Pheasant Run Drive around 1:00 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, May 27, where they located the bodies of a man and woman. 

Investigators are not looking for any suspects, and there is no danger to the public. 

The victim identities are not being released pending next of kin notification.

3 Shot Dead And Left Ditch

(WEST NIPISSINGON) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation involving cruelty to animals.

On March 8, 2025, the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), began a cruelty to animals’ investigation, which involved three deceased Great Pyrenees dogs, which had been shot and abandoned in a ditch off Deer Lake Road, West Nipissing (Verner).

Officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) involved in the destruction and abandoning of these animals.
