Kyle QUICK – Drunk Driving

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A traffic stop for speeding led to an individual being charged for driving while impaired.

On September 9, 2024, shortly after 10:00 p.m., members of the Leamington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Mersea Road 1, Municipality of Leamington.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle QUICK, 29-year-old of Leamington, was arrested charged under the Criminal Code (CC), Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) and the Cannabis Control Act (CCA) with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding 1-49Km/h over posted limit
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 19, 2024, in the City of Windsor to speak to the charges.

Tanner MEINEN – Drunk Driving

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Another impaired driver was taken off the road in Perth County, thanks to a call from a concerned citizen.

Just before 2:00 p.m. on September 10,2024, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint advising of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located on Perth Line 34, in the Municipality of West Perth. The driver was displaying signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Tanner MEINEN, 20, of West Perth, has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 14, 2024.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

Brent YOUNG – Drunk Driving

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one male with impaired operation related offences as the result of a shoplift investigation.

On September 10, 2024, shortly after 3:30 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers responded to a shoplift call for service at a local grocery store in the Town of Shelburne. The accused had left the scene prior to police arrival. Officers located the driver who was operating a mobility scooter and were led into an impaired driving investigation.

Brent YOUNG, a 58-year-old male, from Shelburne has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for 7 days.

Sean ANTONE – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – On September 10, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a driver on Highway 6, near Caledonia.

While on patrol, police observed a vehicle travelling at what appeared to be higher than the posted speed limit and conducted a traffic stop.

Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent they had consumed alcohol, and an Approved Screening Device was administered.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Sean ANTONE of Southwold was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding
  • Driver Fail to Surrender Licence
  • Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 1, 2024.

35 Year Old From Kincardine Arrested

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – On September 10, 2024, at approximately 11:08 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol checked on a vehicle along Stauffer Street in Lucknow.

The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. A roadside approved screening device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. They were placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Matthew BOYLE, 35-years-old, from the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Hit & Run – Dallas Fisher-Mulock Arrested

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – At approximately 10 p.m. last night, members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of a fail to remain car accident on King Street in Woodville.

Officers began their investigation and were able to locate the suspect vehicle on Lorneville road.

Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle, which lead them into an investigation for impaired driving.

As a result, 19-year-old, Dallas Fisher-Mulock from Woodville, was arrested and charged with

–      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      Fail to remain

–      Noice driver- B.A.C above zero

–      Young driver- B.A.C above zero

In addition to the charges, the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days. The driver was released from custody with conditions and will appear later in court.

Yogen NOYADOO – Drunk Driving

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On September 9, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Leamington Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision at an address on Milo Road, Municipality of Leamington.

As a result of the investigation, Yogen NOYADOO, 65-year-old of Tilbury, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A traffic stop led to one individual being arrested and charged for driving while impaired.

On September 9, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., members of the Leamington Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lutsch Avenue, Municipality of Leamington.

As a result of the investigation, Luis HERNANDEZ CASTILLO, 25-year-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver
  • Fail to notify change of address

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 25, 2024, in the City of Windsor to speak to the charges.

(NORTH BAY, ON) – One driver charged with operation while impaired.

On September 7, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 11, Callendar involving a grey Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

Police Located the vehicle and through investigation the driver was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result, Karen ADAM, 70 years-of-age, of Port Sydney has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused’s drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days. They are scheduled to appear at the North Bay Ontario Court of Justice on October 8, 2024.

Michael POLLEY – Drunk Driving

(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after stopping at a R.I.D.E. program.

On Saturday September 7, 2024, shortly after 2:15pm, Peterborough County OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program at Highway 115 and Highway 7A. A vehicle entered the R.I.D.E. program at which point the officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.

Michael POLLEY (age 46) of Cavan, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 15, 2024.

Kent BENNETT – Drunk Driving

(MONTAGUE TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Smiths Falls resident with impaired driving.

A Lanark officer was on patrol on Roger Stevens Drive around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, when he observed a vehicle approaching him at high speed and being driven erratically. The car was travelling well over 100 km/h in a 60 zone and continued to drive into the opposing lane and onto the shoulder.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver was arrested and transported to the Lanark Detachment for testing. Open liquor was found in the vehicle. 

As a result of the investigation, Kent BENNETT, age 50, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 21, 2024.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Stirling BURKE – Drunk Driving

(MONTAGUE TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid impaired charges after a single vehicle collision.

Officers responded to a reported collision on Carroll Road around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024. When officers arrived, they found a car in the ditch and located open alcohol inside. The officers then located a male, walking nearby.

The individual was arrested and transported to the Lanark Detachment for testing. Additional alcohol was located during a search.

As a result of the investigation, Stirling BURKE, age 24 of Smiths Falls, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Failing to comply with an undertaking

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 21, 2024.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Justin TERESCHYN – Drunk Driving

(WEST ELGIN, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), located and investigated a vehicle after several Good Samaritans reported a vehicle travelling the wrong way on the Highway 401.

On September 7, 2024, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers of the Elgin OPP received multiple reports of a passenger vehicle travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Highway 401 near Orford Road, Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Shortly after the initial reports, police received an additional report indicating that the vehicle had turned around and was now travelling the correct direction, eastbound on the Highway 401. At approximately 3:35 a.m., police located and stopped the vehicle on the eastbound Highway 401 near Graham Road, Municipality of West Elgin.

While speaking to the driver, the investigating officer observed signs of intoxication. The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Elgin OPP St. Thomas Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Justin TERESCHYN, a 36-year-old from London was charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on October 7, 2024.

The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the individuals who contacted police and reported this incident. As a direct result, officers were able to safely locate the vehicle and take the driver into custody without incident.

(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) – On September 6, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Townsend Line, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

As a result of the investigation, David GOULD, 55-year-old of Waterloo, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
