Silina TRIPP – Drunk Driving

(LONDON, ON) – Driver charged after two-vehicle collision in on Highway 401 in London.

On November 16, 2024, at 11:28 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the City of London for report of a collision between a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a transport truck.

One involved driver was placed under arrest and transported to the London OPP detachment.

As a result, Silina TRIPP, a 33-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on January 23, 2025.

There were no injuries reported.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

William CLARK – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – London driver charged in OPP Ride program on Highway 401.

On November 18, 2024, at 12:28 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Highway 401 at Veterans Memorial Parkway in Thames Centre.

A vehicle entered the RIDE program, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, William CLARK, a 44-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on January 13, 2025.

The Middlesex County OPP along wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

Kaylem DAYBUTCH – Drunk Driving

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – East Algoma OPP lays 49th impaired charge in 2024.

On November 16, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted by Mississauga First Nation Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Granary Lake Road in the Town of Blind River. 

Investigation determined a car failed to negotiate a corner on Granary Lake Road and continued to travel through the bush striking a tree. The driver then left the scene looking for assistance and walked to the complainant’s residence on Magog Lake Road. 

Police attended the collision scene to confirm that there were no other occupants in the vehicle.  They then attended the complainant’s residence and while speaking to the driver determined alcohol had been consumed. 

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Blind River via Algoma Paramedic Services. 

As a result of the investigation, Kaylem DAYBUTCH, 23 years-of-age from Mississauga First Nation was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 2, 2025.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Tina JOESPH Was Arressted

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an investigation into an impaired driving incident in Simcoe.

At approximately 9:38 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024, an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment stopped a vehicle and conducted an investigation on McDowell Road East in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

After assessing the driver’s sobriety, the individual was taken into custody without incident.

52-year-old Tina JOESPH of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Dainith TOULOUSE – Drunk Driving

(MISSISSAUGA FIRST NATION, ON) – Mississauga First Nation Police Service lays impaired charge.

On November 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Mississauga First Nation Police Service responded to a Side-by-Side (Utility Terrain Vehicle) in a ditch on West Street in the community of Mississauga First Nation. 

The driver walked away from the scene and was located by police a short time later. While speaking to the driver, police determined alcohol had been consumed. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Blind River and was later cleared medically. 

Once released from hospital, the driver was then transported to the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Blind River for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Dainith TOULOUSE, 34 years-of-age who resides in the community of Mississauga First Nation was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 2, 2024.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Maranda LEE – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF ALNWICK/HALDIMAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged an impaired driver following a report from a member of the public.

On November 15, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to a complaint regarding an individual causing a commotion in a vehicle in the area of Massey Road and Clouston Road in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand.

Following the stop of a vehicle matching the description provided on Burns Road, police entered into an impaired operation investigation and an Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand was made. With the result, the accused was arrested and transported to a police station for further tests.

Maranda LEE, 25-years-old, from Cobourg, has been charged with:

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      Driver fail to surrender licence

–      Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle

–      Fail to surrender insurance card.

In addition to a future court date, a further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.

Carrie EDWARDS – Drunk Driving

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a traffic stop in the Town of Renfrew.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Renfrew OPP completed a traffic stop on Bank Street South, in the Town of Renfrew. Officers stopped the vehicle for driving with no headlights and failing to stop at the stop sign.

Officers completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Carrie EDWARDS, age 51 of Renfrew was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive without proper headlights- motor vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 15, 2025.

Abdul MALIK – Drunk Driving

(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after stopping at a R.I.D.E. program.

On November 18, 2024, just prior to 12:30am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. program at County Road 4 and Television Road. A vehicle entered the R.I.D.E. program and an officer spoke with the driver. After a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined they were under the influence of alcohol. The officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.

Abdul MALIK (age 48) of Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON., was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 17, 2024.

Jesse TREMBLEY – Drunk Driving

(MALAHIDE, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and investigated a vehicle after a Good Samaritan reported a traffic complaint in the Township of Malahide.

On November 16, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., members of the Elgin OPP, St. Thomas Detachment, located the subject vehicle on Talbot Line, near Hacienda Road, Township of Malahide.

As a result of the investigation, Jesse TREMBLEY, a 34-year-old from Aylmer was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on December 31, 2024.

The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the individual who contacted police and reported this incident. As a direct result, officers were able to safely locate the vehicle and take the driver into custody.

Michael RUMOHR – Drunk Driving

(HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after observing a vehicle making an aggressive maneuver.

On November 15, 2024, just prior to 10:00pm, a Peterborough County OPP officer was stationary, observing traffic in Havelock. The officer observed a vehicle exit a parking lot in a manner which caused an approaching second vehicle to apply their brakes with force. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the first vehicle that had exited the parking lot. After a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined they were under the influence of alcohol. The officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a Fail at which point they were arrested.

Michael RUMOHR (age 21) of Sarnia, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to yield from Driveway

·      Novice Driver – B.A.C. above zero

·      Young Driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 17, 2024.

Andrea TRAMONTI – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called after an early evening collision on Coopers Falls Road in Severn Township, ON.

On November 15, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers from the Orillia detachment of the OPP along with the Simcoe County Paramedic Services and Severn Township Fire were alerted to a vehicle in the ditch on Coopers Falls Road, in the Township of Severn. One individual and an 11-year-old child were in the vehicle when it left the roadway. No injuries were reported.

As a result, Andrea TRAMONTI; 43-year-old, from Uxbridge has been subsequently charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – 80 plus

Richard STANLEY – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) 

have charged two people with impaired driving in separate incidents over the weekend.

On Saturday, November 16, 2024, shortly after 5:00 p.m., L&A County OPP were called by a community 

member regarding a vehicle that had failed to stop at multiple stop signs and was travelling at 

high rates of speed before it entered the drive-thru of a local business.

Police attended and following an investigation, Obaidullah YOUSOFI, a 31-year-old male from Toronto 

was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – over 80mgs of alcohol

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, just before 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP were called to the scene of a 

two-vehicle collision on County Road 41 in Greater Napanee. No one was injured in the crash.

Following an investigation, Richard STANLEY, a 38-year-old male from Roblin was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – over 80mgs of alcohol

• Careless driving

Both of the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of 

Justice in Greater Napanee on December 12, 2024. Their driver’s licences were suspended for 90 

days, and their vehicles were impounded.

Bryan FOX – Drunk Driving

(MIDLAND, ON)  An individual is facing impaired charges after driving a vehicle across the grass at an OPP detachment in Midland last night.

On November 16, 2024 at about 9:30pm, members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police(OPP) while on patrol, were passing the Highway 12 office, when they observed a full size pickup truck attempting to negotiate a route from a nearby hotel, across the lawns of the detachment as well as the neighboring car dealership. (see photo) The officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the lone occupant who displayed strong signs of alcohol consumption. The individual was placed under arrest and was ushered inside the detachment to provide a breath sample. The results registered several times above the legal limit.

As a result of this investigation, Bryan FOX, 31 years of Parry Sound District, was charged with several Highway Traffic Act offences as well as the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation Over 80 Milligrams

The accused was released to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on November 28, 2024. When charged with impaired driving, the driver’s license of the accused is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating is impounded for 7 days.

Clayton Isaac HULT – Drunk Driving

(AWERES TOWNSHIP, ON) – A traffic stop on Highway 17 north of the city has resulted in impaired driving charges for one individual. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 6:32 p.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police were conducting general patrol, when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 17 near Sixth Line.      

A traffic stop was conducted in Heyden, where investigation determined the vehicle driver had consumed alcoholic beverages. As a result, Clayton Isaac HULT, 24 years-of-age, of Goulais River was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 2, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie. The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Tiffany GALES – Drunk Driving

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Old Highway 2 in Quinte West. An investigation led to the driver being arrested.

Tiffany GALES, 20 years old from Belleville, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol concentration (80 Plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on December 5, 2024. Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.
