Paula DICKSON – Drunk Driving

(ESSEX, ON) – A driver was arrested after police located their vehicle in a snowbank on Brian Avenue East in the Municipality of Essex.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m., the Essex County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle driving into a pile of snow on Brian Avenue East in the Municipality of Essex.  

Police located the vehicle, and after investigating, 55-year-old Paula DICKSON, of Essex is charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on February 18, 2025.

Stephanie REYNEVELD Was Arrested

(MALAHIDE, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), has charged an individual following a collision investigation.

On February 6, 2025, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the Elgin OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a transport truck on Imperial Road near Yorke Line in the Township of Malahide.

No serious injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation the driver of the passenger vehicle, Stephanie REYNEVELD, a 33-year-old from London was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on March 25, 2025.

Caleb BESLEY – Drunk Driving

(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual with impaired driving following a RIDE check in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

On February 6, 2025, at approximately 12:04 a.m., members of Huronia West OPP were conducting a RIDE spot check for sobriety on River Road West. A vehicle entered the RIDE spot check and police began an impaired driving investigation after noticing an odour of alcohol on the driver. A roadside Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) was administered on the driver. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Huronia West OPP Detachment for further investigation.

As a result, Caleb BESLEY, 31-year-old of Wasaga Beach, has been charged with:

  • Adult Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Sasha MILLER Was Arrested

(PETAWAWA, ON) – A Bonnechere Valley Township resident is facing Criminal Code (CC) impaired driving charges after a collision in the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment area.

On the evening of February 3, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the UOV OPP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the Town of Petawawa after an off-duty OPP officer located a vehicle stuck in a snowbank on Civic Centre Road. Investigation found the vehicle left the roadway, crossed on to the sidewalk and collided with a snowbank. The driver was taken into custody for impaired driving and transported to the detachment for testing where readings in excess of three times the legal blood alcohol limit were obtained. Police also seized a quantity of alcohol during the course of the investigation. 

As a result of this incident 33-year-old Sasha MILLER has been charged with the following CC and Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA) offences:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

·        Driving motor vehicle with an open container of liquor

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 24, 2025.

Benjamin LEE – Drunk Driving

(WHITEWATER REGION TWP, ON) – An American motorist is facing Criminal Code (CC) charges after a driving complaint in the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment area.

On the afternoon of February 3, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the UOV OPP began investigating after a possible impaired driver was reported on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township. Police located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a traffic stop as it turned onto Murphy Road. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to the detachment for testing. Test results were more than three times the legal blood alcohol limit.    

As a result of this incident 43-year-old Benjamin LEE of Chesapeake, VA, USA, has been charged with the following CC offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus

The accused had a driver’s licence suspension registered for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 25, 2025.

Linda LEVASSEU Calls Police On Herself

(JOGUES, ON) – A driver who reported their own vehicle stuck in a ditch south of Hearst is now facing impaired driving charges.

On February 3, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a driver that reported they had gotten their vehicle stuck in a ditch on Maheux Road in Jogues.

Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. During the interaction, officers determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The individual was placed under arrest and transported to the Hearst OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Linda LEVASSEUR, 63 years of age of Jogues, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 5, 2025, in Hearst. In addition, the accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Chad CROUSE Was Arrested


(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON)
 – On February 4, 2025, just before 1:00 a.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 40, north of Lasalle Line, St. Clair Township.

As a result of the investigation, Chad CROUSE, 21-year-old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous operation
  • Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over posted speed limit
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 10, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.

Anthony HUDSON – Was Arrested

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Burlington resident with a criminal charge, stemming from a traffic stop.

On February 1, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting a traffic enforcement initiative and initiated a traffic stop on Highway 6 within Puslinch Township.

As a result of the investigation, Anthony HUDSON, a 43-year-old of Burlington is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on February 11, 2025.

Child Sexually Assaulted – 31 Year Old From Brussels Arrested

(NORTH PERTH, ON) – An individual was charged with multiple criminal offences following a traffic complaint involving a snowmobile in the Municipality of North Perth.

On February 2nd, 2025 members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on a snowmobile. While investigating the traffic complaint, the OPP received additional information that the accused had sexually assaulted a youth.

The OPP located the 31-year-old resident of Brussels who was charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Sexual interference.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Stratford on February 24th, 2025.

20 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving after a single vehicle collision.

On February 5, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Huronia West OPP officers received information about a truck that went off of the road and struck a tree on Concession 2 Sunnidale in Clearview Township. Officers attended the location and located the vehicle. After speaking with the driver, officers conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result, Carter VADER, 20-year-old of Singhampton, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·      Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

35 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On February 3, 2025, shortly after 3:50 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lakeshore Detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 77 in Comber, Municipality of Lakeshore.

The driver was transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger was treated at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Abraham GOERTZEN, a 35-year-old of Alberta, was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 19, 2025, in the City of Windsor.

Highway 77 was closed for several hours to allow for the repair of a hydro pole that was damaged during the collision. The roadway has since been reopened.

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Puslinch resident criminally, stemming from a RIDE program.

On January 31, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting a proactive ‘Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere” (RIDE) program on Wellington Road 34 within Puslinch Township, when they initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle to determine sobriety.

As a result of the investigation, William ROBERTSON, a 24-year-old of Puslinch Township is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has since been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on February 14, 2025.

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On February 2, 2025, at approximately 2:50 a.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lakeshore Detachment, while on general patrol on County Road 42, near Lakeshore Road 123, Municipality of Lakeshore, conducted a traffic stop.

As a result, Madison PELTIER, a 22-year-old of Lakeshore, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Disobey stop sign – fail to stop

(LAKESHORE, ON) – Impaired driver is arrested at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.

On January 31, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Lakeshore Detachment conducted a traffic stop to check sobriety of the driver at a RIDE checkpoint on Old Tecumseh Road, Lakeshore.

As a result of the investigation, Lingum NOYADOO, 42-year-old of Belle River, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

  • Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Brandon SCHMIDT Was Arrested

(HARROW, ON) – A traffic complaint led to an individual being arrested and charged with impaired driving.

On January 31, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex Detachment were notified of a traffic complaint on County Road 20, Harrow. Police attended the area and subsequently located the vehicle and driver. A traffic stop was initiated on King Street West.

As a result of the investigation, Brandon SCHMIDT, 24-year-old of Kingsville, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 14, 2025, in the City of Windsor to speak to the charges.
