Glen GUENETTE – Drunk Driving

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Carleton Place resident with impaired driving.

 Officers conducted a traffic stop on Golden Line Road in Mississippi Mills Township on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m.

The officer, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Carleton Place Detachment for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Glen GUENETTE, age 61, of Carleton Place has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Operation while impaired – Alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 17, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension), and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Jeremy CORE: Drunk Driving While Suspended

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Waterloo resident with four charges, stemming from a traffic complaint.

On February 21, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP received a traffic complaint involving a motor vehicle being parked in the middle of a live roadway on Leslie Road West within Puslinch Township. Officers then responded to the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Jeremy CORE, a 34-year-old of Waterloo is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving while under suspension (two counts)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on March 4, 2025.

Cory READ Was Arrested

(SOUTH ELMSLEY, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Emlsley Township resident with impaired driving.

 Officers conducted a traffic stop of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Rideau Ferry Road at Bass Lake Road, in South Elmsley Township on Sunday, February 23, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m.

As a result of the investigation, the officer arrested the driver and transported the individual to the detachment in Perth for testing.

Cory READ age 44 of South Elmsley Township, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Operation while prohibited

• Drive under suspension – Highway Traffic Act

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 24, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension), and vehicle has been impounded for 45 days.

Juan DIAZ DIAZ Was Arrested

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged with several offences after a traffic complaint in Leamington.

On February 23, 2025, at approximately 1:43 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Highway 77 in the Town of Leamington. 

Juan DIAZ DIAZ, 35-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence and Control Act offences:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Dangerous Operation

• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

• Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

• Class G1 driver – unaccompanied by qualified driver

• Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

• Use plate not authorized for vehicle

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 11, 2025, to speak to the charges.

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint in Leamington.

On February 20, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Mersea Road 2 in the Town of Leamington. 

Lukas PASCHENKO, 30-years-old of London, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on February 27, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Daniel SHEEHAN Arrested Following Collision

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged following a collision in Lakeshore.

On February 21, 2025, at approximately 10:41 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of Lakeshore. 

Daniel SHEEHAN, 43-years-old of Tilbury, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 7, 2025, to answer to the charges.

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint in Leamington.

On February 22, 2025, at approximately 11:20 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on Satinwood Crescent in the Town of Leamington. 

Maximo CALAYON, 35-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on March 11, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Nicole GREENWOOD: Drunk Driving

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one driver for stunt driving and driving while impaired in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On February 22, 2025, shortly before 9:00 p.m., A Nottawasaga OPP officer was conducting mobile radar enforcement on Highway 89 East of County Road 56 in the Town of New Tecumseth. The officer observed a truck travelling at a high rate of speed ahead of another vehicle eastbound on highway 89. The officer locked their mobile radar at 130km per hour in a 80 km per hour zone.

The officer conducted a traffic stop at which time demanded the driver provide the documents to the vehicle and valid Ontario drivers licence. During this interaction the officer formed grounds of impairment. The officer issued an ASD (Alcohol Screening Device) demand where the driver subsequently registered a “fail”.

At 9:02 p.m., the driver: Nicole GREENWOOD 25 years-old, of Holland Landing, was arrested and charge with:  

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed

The accused was released on a form 10 Undertaking and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 20 2025.

Kenneth NIPIUS: Drunk Driving

(MARKSTAY-WARREN, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving offences.

On February 22, 2025, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Nepewassi Lake Road, Markstay-Warren.

A concern motorist assisted another vehicle out of a ditch, and believed the driver was impaired by alcohol. Police attended the scene and arrest the driver who had driven into the ditch for impaired driving, then transported the driver to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Kenneth NIPIUS, 52 years-of-age, from Markstay-Warren, was charged with, operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 19, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Shawn McAVOY: Drunk Driving

(SUDBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving offences after responding to a collision.

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, Fire Services and Emergency Medical Services responded to an overturned vehicle in the ditch on Highway 17, Sudbury.

No injuries were reported, and the driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Shawn McAVOY, 46 years-of-age, from St. Charles, was charged with, operation while impaired – alcohol, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 13, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

More Impaired Drivers Arrested: KNIGHT & Smith

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) – The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two drivers for impaired related offense, The drivers were involved in separate events.

On February 22, 2025 at 1:07 a.m., the Huntsville OPP were conducting patrols on King William Street conducted a vehicle stop resulting in the driver being arrested for impaired driving  

As a result of the investigation, Tim KNIGHT, 27 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol/drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused vehicle was impounded for 7 days and they received a 90 Administrative Driver’s license Suspension.

The accused is set to appear in court April 15, 2025 at Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, Ontario.

On February 23, 2025 at 2:30 a.m., the Huntsville OPP were dispatched to a vehicle that was struck in a snow bank on Main St East in Huntsville. Upon arrival, police spoke with a female driver who they believed the was intoxicated.

As a result of the investigation, Karissa SMITH, 27 years old of Gravenhurst Ontario, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

The accused vehicle was impounded for 7 days and they received a 90 Administrative Driver’s license Suspension.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 11, 2025.

Both of these events could have easily been avoided had the drivers planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs. Don’t include drinking in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.

Charles NOGANOSH: Drunk Driving

(BURWASH TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with impaired driving.

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 69, Burwash Township.

While speaking to the driver, it was determined the driver was impaired and was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Charles NOGANOSH, 60 years-of-age, from Britt, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 26, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Sarah TRABOULAY Was Arrested

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual with impaired driving following a RIDE check in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On February 21, 2025, shortly after 12:00 a.m., members of Nottawasaga OPP were conducting a RIDE spot check for sobriety on Sideroad 10. A vehicle entered the RIDE spot check and police began an impaired driving investigation after forming grounds of impairment. 

At 12:34 p.m. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Nottawasaga OPP Detachment.

As a result, Sarah TRABOULAY 41-years-old, of Clearview, was arrested and charge with:  

• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Christopher SUDAK: Drunk Driving

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Fergus resident with four criminal charges and one provincial charge, in relation to an impaired driving investigation.

On February 21, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle driving in an erratic manner. Officers arrived in the area, located the motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Wellington Road 29 within Centre Wellington.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher SUDAK, a 43-year-old of Fergus is charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Driving while under suspension

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged following a single motor vehicle collision in Lakeshore.

Austin RAJSIGL, 24-years-old of Tecumseh, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
