Jonathon FERGUSON – Drunk Driving

(ORILLIA, ON) – A traffic complaint has led to Criminal Charges for a Ramara individual by the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On March 24, 2025, at 3:45 pm, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the City of Orillia. The suspect vehicle was located at the driver’s residence, where alcohol was observed within the vehicle. Officers launched an impaired operation investigation, and a demand for an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was read. The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a reading of ‘FAIL’ at which point the driver was arrested. They were transported back to the Orillia OPP Detachment where further testing was completed.

As a result of the investigation, Jonathon FERGUSON, 37-year-old from Ramara, has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – 80 plus (CC)

The accused was released with a future court date. Additionally, their driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Regan ESQUIMAUX – Drunk Driving

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after a traffic stop in Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Worthington Street in Little Current for a sobriety check. Further investigation on scene resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Regan ESQUIMAUX, 30-years-old from Little Current, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on May 6, 2025.

Jessica KINGDON – Drunk Driving

(POINT EDWARD, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired operation following a traffic stop in Point Edward.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 11:59 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Venetian Boulevard, north of Exmouth Street, Point Edward.

As a result, Jessica KINGDON, 38-year-old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 15, 2025.

Christina WEBB – Drunk Driving

(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) – One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Warwick Township.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Forest Road, north of London Line.

As a result, Christina WEBB, 45-year-old of Petrolia, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code, Liquor Licence and Control Act, and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 10, 2025.

28 Year Old Arrested Following Collision

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One person has been charged following a collision in Leamington.

On March 24, 2025, at approximately 1:35 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Road 33 South and Mersea Road 2 in the Municipality of Leamington. 

Santos MARTINEZ LOPEZ, 28-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on April 11, 2025, to answer to the charges.

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint in Lakeshore.

On March 23, 2025, at approximately 7:17 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on County Road 42 near Lakeshore Road 129 in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

Vamsi KOMMINENI, 30-years-old of Belle River, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on April 2, 2025, to speak to the charges.

(ESSEX, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic stop in Essex.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 9:48 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on County Road 11 in the Town of Essex. 

Jatin PATEL, 50-years-old of Windsor, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on April 03, 2025, to answer to the charges.

Chelsea MCLENNAN – Drunk Driving

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual with impaired driving after investigating a vehicle in the ditch.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 9:45pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a reported vehicle in the ditch on County Road 40 in Douro-Dummer Township. Officers were told by the caller that the driver exited the vehicle and began asking others for a ride home before walking away from the scene.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and spoke with witnesses who were able to provide a description of the driver. Officers located the driver at a nearby address and upon speaking with the driver, detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from their breath. A demand for an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test was read. The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath resulting in a reading of ‘FAIL’ at which point the driver was arrested.

Chelsea MCLENNAN (age 31) of Norwood, ON., was arrested and charged with;

·      Operation while impaired

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused had their drivers licence suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 22, 2025

Moses Kariuki – Drunk Driving

(HALIBURTON COUNTY, ON) – The Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver involved in a collision with impaired operation in the Municipality of Dysart et Al.

On March 23, 2025, at 2:33 a.m., the Bracebridge and Haliburton OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred near Highway 118 and Lymburner Drive in Haliburton. Haliburton County Emergency Services (EMS) attended the scene for a vehicle that had struck a rock cut and caught on fire. The Dysart Fire Department extinguished the fire and Haliburton County Paramedic Service (HCPS) transported the driver to the local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Following an investigation, the driver, 31-year-old Moses Kariuki of Highlands East Township was arrested and charged with the following:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Minden on May 7, 2025, to answer to these charges.

In addition to the charges, the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Kenneth MCINTOSH – Drunk Driving

(LONDON, ON) – Driver facing impaired charge after vehicle leaves road and enters ditch.

On March 23, 2025, at 1:49 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to the Eastbound Lanes of Highway 402 at Wonderland Road in the City of London for the report of a single vehicle collision.

The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.

As a result, Kenneth MCINTOSH, a 64-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 30, 2025.

Ryan GRIFFIN Was Arrested

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a driver with Impaired Operation (Over 80) after a traffic investigation early Saturday morning.

Just after 2:00am March 22, 2025 an officer with the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP observed a white sedan driving eastbound on Mountain Road in the Town of Collingwood. The vehicle was stopped on Tenth Line near Mountain Road and the officer conducted a roadside impaired driving investigation. As a result, the driver was arrested and transported to the Collingwood OPP Detachment for breathalyzer tests to be obtained.

Ryan GRIFFIN, 24 years of age, of Collingwood was released on an undertaking, charged with Impaired Operation (80 Plus). He was served with a 90 day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood at a future date.   

Police remind the public that impaired drivers put our community at risk and our officers continue to actively look for drivers who drive while impaired, including conducting RIDE spot checks all year round. Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP conducted an additional 6 RIDE spot checks over this past weekend. If you plan on consuming drugs or alcohol, plan to have a designated driver, call a friend, a taxi or rideshare to arrange transportation to get you home safely. Tyson STURGEON – Drunk Driving, Etc.

(CHIPPEWAS OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Disturbance at a residence leads to impaired charge.  

On March 16, 2025, at 8:57 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Lower Chippewa Road North in Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, for the report of a family dispute.

Two involved individuals fled the scene in a vehicle, prior to police arrival.

Patrols were made by officers at which time the vehicle was located on Bear Creek Road.

The passenger in the vehicle fled on foot, however, was quickly arrested.

The driver was also placed under arrest.

The driver and passenger were transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

The driver, Tyson STURGEON, a 23-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Novice driver fail to surrender licence
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 10, 2025.

The passenger, a 24-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, was charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act with Being intoxicated in public place and was held until sober.

Michael MIHALYI – Drunk Driving

(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Brampton resident with three criminal charges stemming from a traffic complaint.

On March 21, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting proactive traffic enforcement when a traffic complaint came in, informing officers of a motor vehicle displaying signs of impaired driving. Officers attended the area, located the motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Wellington Road 10 within Mapleton Township.

As a result of the investigation, Michael MIHALYI, a 42-year-old of Brampton is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on April 4, 2025.

Parker JONES – Drunk Driving

(EDWARDSBURGH CARDINAL, ON) – A stunt-driving stop early Sunday morning on Highway 416 led to an impaired driving arrest.

On March 23, 2025, just after 3:00 a.m., an officer with the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Highway 416, in Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township, and found a vehicle speeding at 182 km/h in the posted 110 km/h zone. The officer spoke with the driver and entered an impaired driving investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Parker JONES, 20 years of age, of Ottawa, Ontario, was charged under the Criminal Code with:

–      operation while impaired – alcohol

–      operation while impaired – blood-alcohol concentration (80 plus)

–      dangerous operation

The accused was also charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt, and novice driver – blood-alcohol concentration above zero, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused was later released and is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.
