81 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Perth resident with impaired driving.

Officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Noonan Side Road in Tay Valley Township on Friday, March 14, 2025, just after 7:00 p.m.

A male was arrested and transported to the Perth hospital for testing. Test samples were sent to the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto.

As a result of those tests and the investigation, Denis CORDICK, age 81, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension).

Ishaan DUTT – Drunk Driving

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired driving related charges because of a traffic stop.

On April 28, 2025, shortly after 7:00 p.m., Huronia West OPP officers conducted a traffic stop after an individual on a side-by-side ATV failed to stop for a stop sign in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Ishaan DUTT, 26-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

·      Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive Motor Vehicle – Not Equipped with Ignition Interlock Device (HTA)

·      Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop (HTA)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on May 27, 2025, to answer to the charges.

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in Lakeshore.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 11:32 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Deer Run Trail in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

Stacy ZIMMER, 42-years-old of Lakeshore, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on May 9, 2025, to speak to the charges.

(ESSEX, ON) – One person has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic complaint in Essex.

On April 27, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint on County Road 11 in the Town of Essex.

Stephanie PAULTON, 37-yeas-old of Lakeshore, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Dangerous Operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on May 8, 2025, to speak to the charges.

Bradley BEAUSOLEIL – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On April 27, 2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle into a ditch on Third Line, near Belwood Lake.

As a result of the investigation, Bradley BEAUSOLEIL, 42-years-old of Severn Township, was charged with:

– Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs contrary to the Criminal Code

– Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on May 6, 2025.

Boyd SHIGWADJA – Drunk Driving

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – One person is facing impaired-related charges after police received multiple traffic complaints.

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received multiple traffic complaints reporting a possible impaired driver on Highway 6 near Birch Island. Police located the vehicle on Highway 6 and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation on scene resulted in the driver being arrested for impaired operation.

As a result, Boyd SHIGWADJA, 52-years-old from Little Current, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on June 10, 2025.

Andrew SABAYA – Drunk Driving

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one driver for driving while impaired in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On April 26, 2025, at 3:52 a.m., officers were conducting general patrols in the Town of Alliston, officers located a motor vehicle in a parking lot with its engine running and lights on, partially parked in the bushes.

Officers approached the vehicle, where they observed two open bottles of vodka sitting on the driver’s seat with a male party sleeping in his underwear.

Officers were able to wake the male, at which time he exited the vehicle stumbling on his feet. The male party was slurring his words and an odour of alcohol was emanating from his breath.

At 3:54 a.m., The driver: Andrew SABAYA 45-years-old of Barrie, was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on May 22, 2025, to answer to the charges.

William CAMPBELL Facing Numerous Charges

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Montague Township resident with impaired driving and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle on the side of the road and the driver slumped over on Highway 7 at Gambles Side Road, in Tay Valley Township on Sunday, April 27, 2025, just after 11:00 a.m.

The officers, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Lanark Detachment in Perth for testing. A search of the vehicle located a large amount of cash, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine and suspected psilocybin, as well as weapons.

As a result of the investigation, William CAMPBELL, 28-years-old, of Montague Township, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

·        Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts

·        Possession of schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking

·        Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 511, North of Hopetown, in Lanark Highlands Township on Friday, April 25, 2025, just after 8:30 p.m., after the officer observed the vehicle being driven erratically.

Hubert ENNIS Was Arrested

(TAY VALLEY TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Glen Tay Road on Saturday, April 26, 2025, just before 3:00 p.m.

The officers, while conducting a traffic investigation, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the Lanark Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Hubert ENNIS, 66-years-old, of Tay Valley Township, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 26, 2025.

75 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation during RIDE program in Hastings Highlands.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., Bancroft OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on Peterson Road. One driver was transported to the detachment for testing, but once at the detachment, the driver refused to give a sample of their breath.

As a result, Steward CARROLL, a 75-year-old resident of Harcourt, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

The accused’s license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 27, 2025.

19 Year Old Facing Assault & Drunk Driving Charges

(SMITHS FALLS, ON) – Members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges of impaired driving and assault police officer following an investigation that spanned between Highway 15 in Elgin and the Town of Smiths Falls.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., a citizen made reports of suspicious activity between three occupants of a parked vehicle. The vehicle was said to have taken off on Highway 15 at a high rate of speed.

Members of Leeds OPP and the Smiths Falls Police Service located the vehicle at a gas station in the Town of Smiths Falls. Following an investigation, the driver was arrested. During the arrest, two officers sustained minor injuries.

The driver, Okon DIBAUD, 19 years old, of Gatineau, Québec, was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
  • Assault with intent to resist arrest – two counts
  • Resist peace officer – two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on May 23, 2025.

Dangerous Impaired Driver Arrested – Prabhsimranjit Singh

(EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) – An individual from Zorra Township is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a collision that occurred on Oxford Road 17, in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Oxford Road 17, in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock.

Prabhsimranjit Singh, 21-years-old, of Zorra Township, has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

·      Dangerous operation

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on May 27, 2025.
