Matthew BOUMAN Was Arrested

(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A RIDE (Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at Sandbanks Provincial Park has led to an arrest.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had set up a RIDE program on County Road 12 near County Road 18.

Officers spotted a vehicle approaching them, but then saw it turn and speed away. An officer followed the car and conducted a traffic stop nearby.

An approved roadside alcohol screening device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.

Matthew BOUMAN, age 44 of Loyalist Township, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 9, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.

18 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

 (TILLSONBURG, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving.

On June 22, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Dogwood Drive in the Town of Tillsonburg.

As a result of the investigation, Preston PARKINS, an 18-year-old resident of the Town of Tillsonburg, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
  • Operate Vehicle with Open Container of Alcohol
  • Novice Driver BAC Above Zero

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on July 29, 2025.

One Dead – Gabriel AUMAIS Arrested

(SOUTH GLENGARRY TWP., ON) – Charges have been laid in relation to a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and SUV that left one person deceased and another with serious injuries.

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a serious collision on Chapel Road near County Road 18 in South Glengarry Township. A motorcycle carrying two people was struck by an SUV.

The deceased has been identified as a 47-year-old male from Martintown in South Glengarry. His 14-year-old son sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

As a result of the investigation, Gabriel AUMAIS, age 30 from La Prairie, Quebec, has been charged with:

  • Operation causing death
  • Operation causing bodily harm
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol (80 plus)

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Cornwall on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Emil TEGLER – Drunk Driving

(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Puslinch Township resident in relation to an impaired driving arrest.

On June 22, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Wellington County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Brock Road South near Highway 401 in Puslinch Township. 

Police spoke with the driver and as a result of the investigation, Emil TEGLER, a 43-year-old of Puslinch Township is charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Guelph on July 4, 2025.

Eddy SANSON Was Arrested

(ESSEX, ON)-On Sunday June 22, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m., members from the Essex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to the report of a single vehicle into a ditch on County Road 11 near 5th Concession Road in the Town of Essex. 

As officers arrived on scene and spoke to the driver it was determined that the driver had previously consumed alcohol.  The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment.

 As a result, Eddy SANSON, 60-years-of-age of Windsor has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while Impaired – 80 plus 

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 4, 2025.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

Jacob CANTY Was Arrested

(TECUMSEH, ON)-On Sunday June 22, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a member of the Tecumseh Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on patrol along Riverside Drive when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and determined that the driver had previously consumed alcohol.  The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment.

 As a result, Jacob CANTY, 38-years-of-age of Tecumseh has been charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

Ludovit VRBJAR – Drunk Driving

(TECUMSEH, ON)- An individual from Windsor, Ontario is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a vehicle stop that had occurred on Lesperance Road, in the Town of Tecumseh.

On Friday June 20, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m., the Tecumseh Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Lesperance Road. Officers were speaking to the driver and determined that the driver had previously consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment.

 As a result, Ludovit VRBJAR, 47-years-old, of Windsor, is charged with:

·      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

(MAPLETON TWP, ON) – On June 22, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a marine patrol on Conestogo Lake in the Township of Mapleton.

At this time, police spoke with the operator of a personal watercraft who appeared to need assistance.

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – An individual from Newcastle, Ontario is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from multiple traffic complaints on Highway 10, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On Friday, June 20, 2025 at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to multiple reports of a possible impaired driver on Highway 10, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Grey Bruce OPP were able to locate the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop.

Brendan O’SULLIVAN, 41-years-old, of Newcastle, is charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

Devon MCGOVERN – Drunk Driving

(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) – – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Lanark Highlands Township resident with impaired driving.

Officers investigated a single motor vehicle collision on MacDonalds Corners Road, in Lanark Highlands Township on Sunday, June 23, 2025, just after 11:00 p.m. after a complaint of a vehicle entered a ditch.

The officers located the vehicle, arrested the driver and transported the individual to the OPP Detachment in Perth for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Devon MCGOVERN, 28-years-old, of Lanark Highlands Township, Ontario, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 14, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

GREER – Drunk Driving

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A single motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charges in Arnold Township.

On Wednesday June 4,2025, at 11:45 p.m. the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision, where the driver reported the collision was due to avoiding wildlife on Highway 672, in Arnold Township. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined the individual had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan GREER, a 29-year-old from Tarzwell Township, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired by alcohol

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is next scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on July 3, 2025.

Glenn HUNTER Was Arrested

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – A traffic stop leads to impaired charge in Gauthier Township.

On Tuesday May 27,2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m. the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on McPhersons Drive, in Gauthier Township. Officers observed the driver operating an ATV without a helmet. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined the individual had consumed an alcoholic beverage. The driver was arrested and transported to the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Glenn HUNTER, a 58-year-old from Gauthier Township, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired by alcohol

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

Drive off-road vehicle- no number plate

·      Drive off-road vehicle- no insurance

·      Fail to wear proper helmet

·      Driving while under suspension- two counts

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment. The accused was released from custody and is next scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on August 21, 2025.

Drivers are reminded that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when driving. Whether you are impaired by alcohol or drugs, impaired is impaired and driving under the influence of either is a criminal offence. (GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – An individual from Mono, Ontario is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Grey Road 9, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On Thursday, June 19, 2025, at approximately 11:36 a.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 9 near Road 57A, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The driver had crashed into the ditch. There were no injuries.

Vikrant JASWAL Arrested Following Collision

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual involved in a collision with numerous offences.

On June 15, 2025, just before 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Mayfield Road, at The Gore Road, in the Town of Caledon. During the course of the investigation, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

As a result, Vikrant JASWAL, 30, of Bolton, was charged with:

  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a Schedule III substance

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 7, 2025, to answer to the charges. Additionally, the driver’s vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days, and their driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days.
