Drug Bust – Christopher ROBERTS

(DESERONTO, ON) – A search warrant in Deseronto has resulted in a drug seizure and an arrest for trafficking.

The investigation began earlier this year after community concerns about drug trafficking in the area.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Canine Unit and members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Fourth Street. One person was arrested without incident.

Investigators seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Christopher ROBERTS, age 37 of Deseronto, has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on September 30, 2025.

Drug Bust – GOUVEIA & MORIN

(NORTH BAY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge two people in relation to a drug warrant at a residence in North Bay.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine executed a warrant at a residence on Lakeshore Drive, in North Bay.

As a result of the investigation, police seized an amount of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and morphine from the residence.  Also seized was approximately $2,000 in Canadian currency. 

Roy GOUVEIA, 24-years-old, of Scarborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid – three counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Cindy MORIN, 59-years-old, of North Bay, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid – three counts
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on a later date.

Repeat Offender Scott LEMOS Arrested Again

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed warrants on an Orangeville resident following a police investigation.

On August 20, 2025, members of the Dufferin OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) team and Dufferin B Platoon, executed three bench warrants on an Orangeville resident. The operation resulted in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of fentanyl. 

As a result, Scott LEMOS, 39-year-old, from Orangeville has been charged with:

•      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs

•      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The following items were seized during the investigation:

– 24 grams of Fentanyl

$14,000 Drug Bust – Alan RIVERS

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON)- Police have charged an individual following the execution of a warrant in Essex.

On Thursday August 14, 2025, members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Essex OPP uniform members, executed a search warrant at an address in the 100 block of Talbot Street North in the Town of Essex.

Police seized quantities of illicit drugs including cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon. Total value of drugs, property and cash seized approximately $14,500.00.

As a result of the investigation, Alan RIVERS, a 39-year-old from Essex was arrested and charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs

·      Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking

·      Unauthorized Possession of Weapon

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on October 3, 2025.

Meth & Fentanyl Found In Child’s “Suffed” Toy

In August of 2025, members of the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into persons actively involved in the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs within the City of Kingston. 

As a result of the investigation a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was obtained for a residence located on Weller Avenue, in Kingston. 

On Wednesday August 13th, 2025, the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit assisted with executing the warrant. During the search of the residence investigators located a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl hidden inside a stuffed animal. Investigators also discovered packaging materials and a digital scale inside the residence.

A 49-year-old individual from Kingston, a 38-year-old individual from Belleville, and a 40-year-old individual from Belleville were arrested and charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. 

This seizure underscores the continued distribution of fentanyl and other harmful substances into our community and highlights the risk posed by individuals targeting Kingston to profit from the addiction and suffering of others. The Kingston Police remain committed to identifying and arresting those responsible for drug trafficking and firearms-related offences within our city.

Drug Bust: Anna CIRILLO & Beau MERKEL

During the summer of 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances in the City of Niagara Falls.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residential address in Niagara Falls.

As a result of the investigation police arrested two individuals and seized the following:

  • 111.6 grams of fentanyl
  • 198 pills of hydromorphone 
  • 14.5 grams of cocaine
  • A conducted energy weapon
  • Nunchaku
  • $1380 of Canadian currency
  • $360 of United States currency

Anna CIRILLO (45 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (2 counts)
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts)
  • Possession of Hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (2 counts)

Beau MERKEL (47 years) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (2 counts)
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts)
  • Possession of Hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (2 counts)

CIRILLO and MERKEL were held in custody for a bail hearing, which is set to take place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.

In addition, two other individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants with the Niagara Regional Police Service.

Four males are facing firearm charges after a traffic stop in Oshawa.

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers from Central East Division conducted a traffic stop while on proactive patrol in the area of Albany Street and Simcoe Street South. Officers detected a strong odour of cannabis from the vehicle and conducted a search. During the search, officers located a loaded firearm. Four male suspects were arrested without incident.

$38,000 Drug Bust – LEWIS

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – One person has been arrested following a drug trafficking investigation in Kirkland Lake.

On Friday August 15, 2025, members of the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Canine Unit and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) intercepted one person at the North Bay Ontario Northland Bus Terminal following a drug trafficking investigation in Kirkland Lake.

As the officers were observed, the person fled on foot towards a wooded area, the person was subsequently arrested a short time later. A search of the person and belongings resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine and fentanyl with a total estimated street value of $38,000. Also seized was a Glock 27 with an extended magazine, ammunition and three cellular phones.

As a result of the investigation Rashid LEWIS, a 20-year-old from Scarborough, has been charged with:

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order x4

·      Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- Opioid

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- Cocaine

·      Resist peace officer

The accused has been remanded into custody and is schedule to appear before the North Bay Ontario Court of Justice on August 20, 2025

Drug Bust – Zachary TUCKER

(HENVEY INLET, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a person with drug related offences after a call from a concerned citizen.

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m. officers received a call regarding a possible impaired driver stopped at a gas station on Henvey Inlet First Nation. Officers attended to investigate the driver’s sobriety. Through further investigation officers located approximately two kilograms of suspected cocaine in the driver’s vehicle with an estimated street value of $200,000.   

Zachary TUCKER , 28-years-old from Sioux Lookout was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Have care or control of vehicle with cannabis readily available

The accused was held for bail before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound and is scheduled to appear on September 15, 2025.

$380,000 Drug Bust

(Thunder Bay, ON) – Police arrested a suspect Thursday connected to an investigation of drug trafficking distribution to First Nation communities from the City of Thunder Bay.

Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, with assistance from the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit and the OPP, executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 700-block of McIntosh Street in Thunder Bay on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking from Thunder Bay to multiple surrounding First Nation communities. Aroland First Nation was among the possible target communities for distribution identified through this investigation.

During the search, police located and seized a significant quantity of opioids – oxycodone and hydromorphone. Police also seized about $55,000 CAD. A male suspect was arrested without incident.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized totals about $380,000 CAD.

A 67-year-old Thunder Bay is charged with:

  • Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The accused has since been released with a future court appearance date of Nov. 13, 2025.

The identity of an accused is withheld until the charges against them have been formally sworn in by the courts.

2.3 Kilo Cocaine & 700 Grams Of Meth Seized: Quoc-Khanh TRUONG Arrested

A southern Ontario man faces drug trafficking charges after an investigation resulted in the seizure of substantial amounts of suspected illicit substances.

An investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service Intelligence Unit led to the identification of a suspect and a warrant being obtained.

The suspect was located and arrested by members of the Intelligence Unit on Wednesday, August 13, with assistance from the Thunder Bay Police Service BEAR Unit and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Intelligence Unit.

Police seized nearly 2.3 kilograms of suspected cocaine, nearly 700 grams of methamphetamine, and more than 500 hydromorphone tablets, along with $19,000 in cash. The estimated street value of the seized drugs exceeds $200,000.

Quoc-Khanh TRUONG, 29, of Scarborough, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Methamphetamine), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Opioid), and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

The accused appeared in court on Thursday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.

80 Year Arrested For Cocaine Possesion

An 80-year-old man from Midhurst is facing drug possession and drug trafficking charges after he was found to be in possession of cocaine.

Last night, just before 7:30 p.m., Barrie Police received a call for a report of a male who was observed asleep behind the wheel of his car. As police arrived at the parking lot of the Yonge St. coffee shop, police located the car in question with the engine running and driver fast asleep. As police looked into the car, they observed a small bag that contained a white powdery substance and paraphernalia related to the sale of illegal drugs.

The driver was awakened and placed under arrest for Possession of Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine. A search of the car also revealed a quantity of suspected cocaine and Canadian currency. Further to that, the driver exhibited signs of impairment and was issued a Field Sobriety Test, which he failed.

The male was transported to Barrie Police Headquarters where the investigation continued. A Drug Recognition Evaluator conducted a series of tests and determined that the male was not impaired.

The accused has been charged with Possession of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine and Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Cocaine. He was later released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie on September 10, 2025.

Barrie Police wish to thank the citizen who contacted police and shared their concerns about this sleeping driver as their actions likely prevented a serious incident from taking place.

Drug Bust: Shyheim Clerzius & Clinton Benson Yanga Arrested

LONDON, ON (August 19, 2025) – Two London men were arrested last week as a result of an ongoing investigation by members of the London Police Service (LPS) Bail Compliance and Warrant Apprehension Unit.

With assistance by members of the LPS Investigative Response Unit, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, shortly after 4 p.m., one adult male was arrested on Trossacks Avenue after exiting a vehicle. A second male fled southbound on foot across Fanshawe Park Road and was arrested by police a short distance away.

A search incident to arrest yielded the following items:

  • 179 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 33.5 x suspected Oxycodone pills
  • $3,700 of Canadian currency
  • $230 of American currency

As a result, Shyheim Clerzius, 23, and Clinton Benson Yanga, 26, both of London, have been jointly charged with the following offences:

  • Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; and
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Shyheim Clerzius was previously released by the courts with bail conditions in relation to weapons and firearms-related offences dating back to April of 2023.

“The mandate of the Bail Compliance and Warrant Apprehension Unit is to locate and arrest high-risk or repeat violent offenders who are wanted, and to monitor bail compliance for those deemed high-risk and out on bail,” said Detective Inspector Sean Travis, of the London Police Service Investigative Services Branch. ” While we understand completely preventing all violent repeat offenses is impossible, members of the London Police Service are committed to prevention. Public safety remains our top priority, and our officers will continue to focus efforts on high-risk offenders and individuals under bail conditions.”

This investigation has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General. 

Both of the accused remain in custody. Yanga will re-appear in London court today, August 19, 2025, while Clerzius will re-appear on August 28, 2025, in relation to the charges.

Adriana QUANN From Kincardine Was Arrested – Details Released

(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Kincardine area resident with several criminal offences following a traffic stop in a “Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere” (R.I.D.E.) check on July 02, 2025, in the Township of North Huron. 

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 02, 2025, Huron County OPP officers spoke to a vehicle driver at an OPP RIDE check in the village of Whitechurch, North Huron. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they underwent testing with an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer.

Adriana QUANN, 36 years of age from Kincardine has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,

–      Possession of a Controlled Substance – (two counts).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 25, 2025.

$16,000 Drug Bust: Central Huron – Dana TEED

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – An investigation conducted by officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property. A criminal charge has been laid against a Central Huron resident.

An investigation initiated in June 2025 by members of the Huron-Perth CSCU led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Central Huron.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted in the Township of Wilmot, Municipality of Waterloo which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and related property. One individual was arrested and charged. On Thursday, July 31, 2025, a search warrant was executed at an address in Central Huron.

A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized. The total value of the illegal drugs seized is estimated at $16,780. Additional offence-related property including a cellular phone seized by police totaled $1,000.

Dana TEED, 31 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Kitchener on September 11, 2025.
