Cocaine Bust In Arthur

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – The Community Street Crime Unit (C.S.C.U.) of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a third person in a drug trafficking investigation in Arthur.

Kyle James George Alan WILLIAMS-GALLEY, 19-years-old of Wellington North, was charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario court of justice – Guelph, on May 3, 2024.

On March 20, 2024, the C.S.C.U of the Wellington County OPP concluded a drug trafficking investigation and executed a search warrant in Arthur, Kitchener and North Dumfries. A 28-year-old from Wellington North and 31-year-old from Kitchener were charged. A firearm and drugs were seized.

Tevin FRANCIS – Drug Trafficking

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a quantity of drugs and charged an individual as a result of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in the Town of Orangeville.

On March 25, 2024, members of the Dufferin Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with Dufferin uniform members and Offender Management and Apprehension Program (OMAP) arrested a male who was wanted on a warrant. The male attempted to flee from officers engaging in a short foot pursuit. The officers arrested the male without incident, and he is now facing multiple charges. In addition, the officers seized a quantity of drugs.  

Tevin FRANCIS, 28-year-old from Thornhill has been charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Heroin

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

·      Driving while under suspension

·      Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

The following property was seized:

·      Cocaine – 5.5 Grams

·      Heroin – 2.5 Grams

·      Cash – $1970 Canadian

·      Cellular phone – evidence of the offence

Another Wasaga Beach Drug Bust – Name Released

(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant which resulted in an arrest and drug related charges being laid in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

In January 2024, Huronia West Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation involving an individual who was allegedly trafficking drugs in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. Utilizing investigative techniques, police were able to gather evidence further advancing their investigation.

On March 20, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Huronia West CSCU, with assistance from the Collingwood CSCU and Southern Georgian Bay CSCU, executed a search warrant for the accused’s residence and vehicle.

During the search, officers seized:

  • 11.5 grams of Cocaine
  • $280 in Canadian Currency
  • A cellular device
  • 2 tablets of suspected Percocet

Ashik PATEL, 22-year-old of Wasaga Beach, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie at a later date.

Drug Bust – Names Released

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On February 20, 2024, the Community Street Crime Unit (C.S.C.U) of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) concluded a drug trafficking investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence on George Street, Arthur. Investigators also executed a search warrant at an address on Pioneer Drive, Kitchener and at John Carpenter Way, North Dumfries.

As a result, a firearm was seized, and two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges.

Justin James Frederick WILLIAMS-GALLEY, 28-years-old of Wellington North, was charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Cory Robert WINDLINGER, 31-years-old of Kitchener, was charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule I substance (Methamphetamine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule I substance (Opioid, other than Heroin) for the Purpose of Trafficking, and  

two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Other) for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Further, the accused was also charged with Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited or Restricted Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code.

Both were held for bail.

Drug Bust – SANDERSON

(DRYDEN, ON) – A local resident is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

On March 20, 2024, just before midnight, members of the Dryden OPP CSCU, with the assistance of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and Kenora OPP Detachment, initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17 west of the City of Kenora.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of suspected cocaine.

As a result, Richard SANDERSON, 57-years-old, of Dryden, has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on March 25, 2024.

Cocaine Bust

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TWP., ON) – Peterborough County OPP Community Street Crime Unit Officers executed a Search Warrant which resulted in one person being arrested and drug related charges being laid.

On March 20, 2024, officers from the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with assistance from the Northumberland OPP CSCU, executed a search warrant at a location within the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. One person was found at the residence and was arrested.

During the search, officers located:

·        234 grams of Cocaine

·        56 grams of Fentanyl

·        3 digital scales

·        Canadian currency

·        Ballistic plate body armour

·        Packaging materials

Spencer SEBASTIAMPILLAI (age 49) of Otonabee-South Monaghan Twp, ON, was arrested and charged with:

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

·        Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

The accused was held for Bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.

Suspended Driver With Cocaine Arrested – Name Released

(LAIRD, ON) – A traffic stop has resulted in multiple charges for one individual. On March 13, 2024, shortly before 9:00 p.m., the Batchewana First Nation Police was conducting general patrol on Neebish Road in Laird Township, when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.  

When officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, it fled the scene. It was located shortly after and a traffic stop was conducted. Investigation revealed that the driver’s licence was suspended. A subsequent search of the individual yielded a small amount of suspected cocaine.

As a result, Isaiah SCHIELE, 24 years-of-age, of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested and charged with:

  • Failing to Stop for Police
  • Driving While Under Suspension
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 22, 2024 in Sault Ste. Marie.

Drug Bust – Mccallum & Ramroop Arrested

LONDON, ON (March 15, 2024) – Two London men are in custody as the result of an investigation by members of the LPS Investigative Support Section yesterday morning.

On Thursday, March 14, 2023, at approximately 11:45 a.m., members of the LPS Investigative Support Section attended a residence in the area of Kinnear Crescent and Bartlett Crescent in relation to a male with outstanding warrants.

Officers arrived and observed the wanted male entering the passenger side of a vehicle in the driveway.

Police stopped the vehicle as it began reversing out of the driveway in an attempt to flee from police.

The wanted male exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, however, was immediately arrested.

The driver was arrested without incident. No injuries were reported.

Officers learned the vehicle had been previously reported stolen on December 23, 2023, from a residence in London.

A search of the vehicle yielded a quantity of drugs.

The following items were seized:

  • 79.5 grams of cocaine, approximate value of $7950,
  • 421 x 8 milligram Dilaudid pills, approximate value of $17,336,
  • 4.5 grams of fentanyl, approximate value of $965,
  • $1076.65 in loose Canadian currency, and
  • The stolen 2022 Lexus RX 350, approximate value of $80,000.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel George Mccallum, 34, of London, was located and arrested on a number of outstanding warrants.

Justin Ramroop, 26, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000,
  • Breach of a conditional sentence order; and,
  • Three (3) counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Daniel George Mccallum, 34, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to his outstanding warrants.

Justin Ramroop, 26, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to his charges.

$400,000 Drug Bust – Names Released

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – Two people have been arrested and charged for drug offences following a traffic stop on Highway 17.

On March 12, 2024, shortly after 11:00 a.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Highway 17 in Blind River.

Upon speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, police were able to detect an odour of cannabis, which led to the arrested of two people. A search of the vehicle was conducted and led to the seizure of approximately two kilograms of suspected Fentanyl, approximately one kilogram of suspected cocaine and a large quantity of suspected hydromorphone and oxycodone pills. The estimated street value of drugs seized is approximately $400,000. Police also located approximately $10,000 in Canadian currency, a handgun, ammunition, and multiple cellphones.

As a result of the investigation, Issak KHOSHABA, 28-years-old, from Brampton has been charged with:

  •  Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
  • Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (identity fraud)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  •  Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
  •  Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of weapon of dangerous purpose
  • Driver fail to surrender licence
  • Driver fail to give identification
  • Use other person’s licence
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
  • Fail to surrender insurance card
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Fail to have insurance card
  • Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of weapon of dangerous purpose
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Breach of firearms regulation – transport firearm or restricted weapon

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste Marie on March 14, 2024.

Jeffrey SANTERRE – Impaired Driving, Drive While Suspended, Etc.

(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person has been arrested and charged in Espanola following a call for service.

On March 10, 2024, shortly after 9:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service involving a person slouched over in the driver’s seat of their parked vehicle.

Police located the vehicle in a parking lot and upon speaking with the driver, police were able to determine that the driver was impaired. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey SANTERRE, 49-years-old, from Sudbury has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on April 15, 2024.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – 3 Charged, Names Released


(SOUTHWOLD, ON) – 
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County (St. Thomas) Detachment has arrested three individuals after police located a stolen vehicle.

On March 6, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Elgin County OPP received a report of stolen vehicle being operated in the Township of Southwold.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., members of the Elgin County OPP located the stolen vehicle leaving a residence on Talbot Line near Union Road, Township of Southwold.

Police stopped the stolen vehicle, and three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Investigators determined that there was an outstanding arrest warrant, held by the London Police Service, for one of the individuals.

As a result of the investigation, Sheldan COOPER-OSTRANDER, a 28-year-old from St. Thomas was charged with:

·        Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Possession property obtained by crime under $5000

·        Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine

Additionally, Taylor GERRITS, a 29-year-old from City of London was charged with:

·        Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Possession property obtained by crime under $5000

Further, Chad WHITAKER, a 37-year-old from City of London was charged with:

·        Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

·        Possession property obtained by crime under $5000

·        Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused parties have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on April 16, 2024.

The 28-year-old was transferred into the custody of the London Police Service to satisfy the arrest warrant.

Cocaine Bust – Five Arrested – Names Released

(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Five people were arrested following a search warrant execution at a residence in the Mercury Avenue East area of Atikokan.

On February 29, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Atikokan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Rainy River District Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Northwest Region Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Northwest Region Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Mercury Avenue East in Atikokan.

Four people are facing a variety of charges as the investigation continues. Officers seized a number of suspected illicit substances including approximately 70 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, over 130 narcotic pills, and approximately 15 grams of fentanyl. Officers also seized over $6,000 in cash and drug trafficking equipment. The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $25,000.

Joshua Ray VERAN, 35 years old of Atikokan; Meagan Elizabeth VERAN, 35 years old of Atikokan; Kimo Jhevani ALLEN, 23 years old of North York, and Kamal HOLDER, 33 years old of North York are all charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for trafficking – Schedule I (cocaine)
  • Possession of a controlled substance for trafficking – Schedule I (fentanyl)
  • Possession of a controlled substance for trafficking – Schedule I (oxycodone)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Joshua VERAN and Meagan VERAN also face an additional criminal charge of fail to comply with probation. 

All of the accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances on March 1, 2024, for a bail hearing.
