Hero Stops Attempted Abductoin – Alysha BOURDEAU Arrested AGAIN!

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – An accused has been arrested and held for a bail hearing following a serious incident during a youth soccer game.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Lennox and Addington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called by a member of the public after a female smashed the window of a vehicle, threatened to kill bystanders and attempted to abduct a 12-year-old youth attending a soccer game at Kinsman Field on Raglan Street in Napanee. A parent attending the game intervened and the child was safely removed from the situation prior to the involved person fleeing on foot. The accused, known to police, was located nearby and arrested.

Alysha BOURDEAU, a 31-year-old from Napanee is charged with the following:

  • Utter threats to cause death
  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Abduction of person under 14
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property – two counts
  • Fail to comply with probation order – eight counts

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 7, 2025.

Larry CHEN – Attempted Abduction

(ALLISTON, ON) – Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual in connection with an attempted child abduction in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On July 31, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a report that an individual had approached a group of children operating a lemonade stand on 9th Line in the community of Beeton. During the interaction, the individual allegedly made inappropriate comments and invitations toward the children.

Police were contacted, and officers identified the suspect. As a result of the investigation, Larry CHEN, 61, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with:

• Abduction of a person under 14 – take or entice – three counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on August 6, 2025.

The OPP reminds parents and caregivers to speak with children about personal safety and how to respond to uncomfortable or suspicious situations.

Attempted Child Abduction: Patricia GALLICHAN-RULE Arrested

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual following an attempted abduction of a child.

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of an attempted child abduction in the parking lot of a store on Government Road in Kirkland Lake.

It was reported that an individual had approached a mother and child and attempted to gain access to the vehicle occupied by the child. The mother was able to secure the vehicle door, preventing entry, and the suspect fled the scene.

Upon police arrival, officers launched an investigation and later located the individual nearby.

As a result, Patricia GALLICHAN-RULE, a 38-year-old from Bonfield Township, was charged with:

·      Abduction of person under 14 – take or entice

·      Resist peace officer

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Attempted Abduction

(BECKWITH TWP, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid a charge following a child abduction investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Monday, April 7 ,2025, when a Beckwith Township resident reporting that his wife might be attempting to leave the country with their six-year-old son.

Lanark County OPP, with assistance from the Lanark County Crime Unit, Peel Regional Police and Canada Border Services Agency were able to locate the woman and child at Pearson International Airport. This 36-year-old woman was arrested and returned to Lanark County, and the child was returned to his father.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 8, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
