William ROBERTSON – Drunk Driving, Drive While Suspended

(NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint for a suspected impaired driver.

On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, shortly before 12:00 am, officers of the Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic complaint regarding a SUV unable to maintain it’s lane and veering into oncoming traffic on Highway 89, east of Alliston. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. 

The driver, William ROBERTSON, a 29-year-old, of New Tecumseth, has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration (80 plus)

• Driving while under suspension

The accused party was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford at a later date to answer to the charges.
