Update: 1 Dead, 1 From Goderich Airlifted – Road Open

(CENTRALIA, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on scene with a serious two motor-vehicle collision, which initially closed the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road, within Centralia, but has now since been re-opened.

On September 20, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Huron County OPP were dispatched to the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road, Centralia, involving a serious two motor-vehicle collision, involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger van.

As a result of the collision involving the passenger van, a 36-year-old of Ayr was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other passenger, a 31-year-old from Goderich, was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team is assisting the Huron County OPP with the investigation.

As a result of the collision, the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road within Centralia was closed, but as since re-opened, and police are clear from the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.
