(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with impaired as a result of OPP RIDE Program.
On November 12, 2025, at 11:15 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Cromarty Drive in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
A vehicle entered the RIDE program at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
As a result, Selehia JOHN, a 41-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Liquor Licence Control Act and Cannabis Control Act with:
· Operation while impaired – Alcohol and drugs
· Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
· Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on December 16, 2025, to speak to the charges.
The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
