(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested an individual following a traffic stop.
On October 02, 2025, at approximately 4:10 a.m., Quinte West OPP performed a traffic stop on Highway 401.
During the investigation, an individual was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, charges were laid under the Criminal Code (CC), the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), and Cannabis Control Act (CCA),
Raghav SHARMA, age 26, from Milton, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession property obtained by crime over $5000
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime
- Use, deals, acts on forged document
- Driving while under suspension
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on a future court date.
