(MOOSONEE, ON) – One person was arrested after a traffic stop in Moosonee.
On March 10, 2024, shortly before 8:00 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Ferguson Road in Moosonee.
The driver provided a false name to police and was subsequently arrested.
As a result of this investigation, Miller NAKOGEE, 39-years-of-age of Fort Albany was charged with the following:
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Driver motor vehicle – no licence
- Fail to properly wear seat belt
- Obstruct plate
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 7, 2024 in Moosonee.
