(KINGSVILLE, ON) – A driver was arrested at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.
On December 7, 2025, at approximately 1:02 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kingsville Detachment conducted a RIDE checkpoint to examine the sobriety of drivers on Division Street North in the Town of Kingsville.
Matthew REEKIE, 20-years-old of Kingsville, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on December 19, 2025, to answer to the charges.
