(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A motorist visiting Sandbanks Provincial Park has been charged with impaired driving.
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the park when a possible impaired driver was reported.
Officers located the vehicle, and an approved roadside alcohol screening devise was utilized. The male was transported to the detachment for further testing.
Louis CLERMONT, age 28 of Rosemere, Quebec, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 2, 2025.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
