Hero Run Down Twice in Fight to Defend Neighbourhood #StandYourGround

A Brampton man faces assault and dangerous driving charges after another man was repeatedly hit by a car during a disturbance in Guelph.

On Friday afternoon police were called to the area of Glasgow Street North and Essex Street. Investigation revealed a man had left a house with property that didn’t belong to him. Another man tried to stop him and was twice struck by the subject’s car. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. The parties are known to each other.

On Sunday a 30-year-old Brampton man was arrested for assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, assault and theft under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
