Ezequiel Trejo – Impaired Driving

(Kingston, ON) – An impaired driver was arrested and charged after an officer stopped the vehicle for a traffic complaint of erratic driving.

A Frontenac OPP member was on patrol, on the 401 Highway on August 23, 2025, when a complaint from a citizen about a driver operating the vehicle erratically traveling east toward Kingston. The officer stopped the vehicle when it exited off the highway at Division Street. Just after 9:15 pm the officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, where the driver exhibited signs of alcohol use.

The driver was requested to provide a roadside breath test, that resulted in an arrest and transportation to the Frontenac OPP detachment for further breath testing.

Ezequiel Trejo, a 21-year-old from North York has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The driver was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston, on October 14, 2025. They also had their drivers license suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for a period of 7 days.
