Drug Bust – Brian CADIEUX & Michael Richardson

(MIDLAND, ON) – Two individuals are facing charges following the execution of search warrants on two Midland homes which resulted in a significant seizure of contraband items related to the drug trade.

On July 31, 2025, officers from the OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) from the Southern Georgian Bay, Huronia West and Collingwood Detachments and uniform members, executed search warrants at homes on Simcoe Road 93 and William Street in the Town of Midland. One individual was arrested during the search and another with links to the investigation was arrested in the following days.

Investigators seized a significant amount of property including contraband and proceeds of crime listed below:

  • Significant quantity of Cocaine and Morphine pills
  • .22 caliber rife and ammunition
  • Over $50,000 of Canadian currency
  • Drug paraphernalia of Money Counter, Vacuum Sealer and Packaging Materials
  • 2014 Dodge Journey
  • Jewelry

As a result of this investigation, Brian CADIEUX, 38 years of Midland, is accused of the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of an Opioid for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Traffic in Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

In addition, Michael Richardson 28 years of Midland, is accused of the following charges contrary to the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of an Opioid for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

The accused parties were charged and held for a bail hearing to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice.
