(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) – A call from an off-duty police officer led to an impaired driving arrest near Consecon Lake.
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a possible impaired driver on County Road 1.
Officers located the vehicle, and an approved roadside alcohol screening device was utilized. The driver was then transported to the detachment for further testing.
Courtney HARRISON, age 55 of Toronto, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 9, 2025.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
