Armed Home Invasion – Jalen HARRIOTT Arrested AGAIN!

(ORANGEVILLE, ON) – Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in connection to a 2024 home invasion investigation. 

On November 3, 2024, shortly before 5:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Bailey Drive in the Town of Orangeville for a home invasion in progress. Suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The preliminary investigation revealed that unknown suspects forcefully entered the residence. Once inside they demanded valuables from the victim.

As a result of the investigation, Jalen HARRIOTT, a 18-year-old male, from Ajax has been charged with:

•      Robbery using Firearm (Restricted or Prohibited)

•      Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm

•      Disguise with Intent

•      Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm

•      Assault with A Weapon

•      Pointing a Firearm

•      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

•      Fail to Comply with Sentence (two counts)

•      Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence

The investigation is ongoing by the Dufferin OPP Major Crime Unit with the assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIS).
