On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., police responded to a Personal Injury Collision in the Lawrence Avenue East and Don Mills Road area.
It is alleged that;
- a 34-year-old female was operating a silver Toyota sedan westbound on Lawrence Avenue East
- a 50-year-old male pedestrian was crossing from the south side to the north side on the west crosswalk on Lawrence Avenue East
- the driver of the Toyota Sedan struck the pedestrian
- the male pedestrian was transported to a local trauma centre in life-threatening condition
- the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene
The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
