OPP Crashes Vehicle

(NEYAASHIINIGMIING, ON) – On February 29, 2024, at 10:45 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were responding to a call for service on the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation when an officer crashed their police vehicle. No injuries are reported.  

The investigation is ongoing, and community members will see an increased police presence while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team assist the Grey Bruce OPP with the investigation.

Community Centre Road is closed at Community Centre Road at Parrie Road and Lighthouse Road at Habour Road for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation and will likely be closed for several hours. Motorists are asked to not drive through the road closed signs.
