20 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge

(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Alton resident with impaired driving-related offences following a single motor vehicle collision.

On July 13, 2025, shortly after 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a call for service near the intersection of Hurontario Street and Ten Sideroad in the Town of Mono. Upon locating the suspect vehicle and speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment, leading to an impaired driving investigation.

Jacob WEAVER, a 20-year-old male, from Alton has been charged with:

•      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

•      Dangerous operation

•      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

•      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
