(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges local resident with two Criminal charges stemming from failing to remain at the scene of a collision where two people were injured.
On December 6, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Wellington County OPP received a report of a fail to remain collision on Wellington Road 39 within Guelph-Eramosa Township. The collision involved three motor vehicles, where two separate drivers were injured and taken to local hospital for treatment, and one vehicle had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
OPP, alongside other emergency services attended the scene and began the investigation. It was reported that one driver sustained minor injuries, while the other’s injuries were considered serious. However, both drivers’ injuries were deemed non-life threatening and were treated at hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Landon FLETCHER, a 19-year-old of Guelph-Eramosa Township was charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
- Fail to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 14, 2025.
