(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) – A traffic stop on Highway 144 leads to drugs charges.
On Monday April 28, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 144, Noble Township, just north of Gogama.
As a result of the investigation, the OPP seized an amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $118,730. Also seized was an amount of Canadian currency.
Manfred YIADOM-BOAKYE, 33 years-old, of Bradford, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
 - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
 - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
 - Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
 - Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
 - Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
 
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday May 26, 2025, in Gogama.
