(MARTER TOWNSHIP, ON) – A traffic violation leads to a driver being arrested for impaired on Highway 624.
On Wednesday, July 9,2025 at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 624 in Marter Township.
As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
Kelly BEACH, 49 years-of-age of Englehart, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Drive without proper headlights – motor vehicle
- Fail to notify change of address – licence
- Fail to have insurance card
The accused received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on Tuesday August 5, 2025.
