(LONDON, ON) – Traffic stop results in drug trafficking charge for driver.
On September 8, 2025, at 2:27 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Veterans Memorial Parkway in the City of London, performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.
Investigation revealed the driver was suspended.
The driver was placed under arrest, at which time a quantity of illicit drugs, suspected to be fentanyl, was located and seized.
As a result, Tabitha COOPER, a 33-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
· Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (Identity fraud)
· Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
· Driving while under suspension
· Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused was held for bail.
