(PETROLIA, ON) � An individual was charged in connection with a theft at a local business in Petrolia Monday night after allegedly shoplifting several items and leaving the store on foot.

On Monday, May 6, 2024, at 9:55 p.m., members of the Lambton detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a business located in the 4400 block of Petrolia Line, Petrolia in relation to a suspected shoplifter.

Police arrested the individual at a residence a short time later.

Brent PATTON, 19-year-old from Sarnia, Ontario is charged with the following:

Theft Under $5000 � Shoplifting
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice � Sarnia on June 5, 2024.
