(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) � Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on May 01, 2024.
On May 01, 2024, at approximately 3:18pm, an officer during a traffic stop on Ski Hill Road in Omemee entered into an impaired driving investigation. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act Offences.
Thurston Dowse, 27-year-old of St. Catherine�s, was charged with:

Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
Careless Driving
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days and the drivers license was suspended for 90 days.
