Tyler CHARAMBA – Impaired Driving

(LAKESHORE, ON) – One person has been charged following a traffic complaint in Lakeshore.

On October 24, 2025, at approximately 11:56 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Middle Road near County Road 46 in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

Tyler CHARAMBA, 32-years-old of Wheatley, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Driving while under Suspension

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was held for bail court to answer to the charges.

Fatal Collision

(WHEATLEY, ON) – One individual is deceased following a collision in Wheatley.

On June 27, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Leamington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Chatham-Kent Fire Department, responded to a single-vehicle collision on Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 62-year-old from Leamington, was transported to local hospital with life-threatening injuries. On June 28, 2025, the individual succumbed to their injuries.

Erie Street South remained closed for approximately five hours between Hickson Road and Deer Run Road and has since reopened.

Members of the Essex County OPP and the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team continue to investigate the collision.
