Construction Season
And as everyone knows, summer brings increased construction on our roads and highways. Here in Chatham-Kent, we currently have numerous roads under construction.
Please help keep our road workers safe:
– Slow down and obey the posted reduced speed limit
– Be prepared to stop suddenly as road surfaces and traffic patterns change frequently in work zones
– Keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you as sudden stops are common
Speeding through construction zones is not only dangerous it can also be costly. Don’t forget, speeding fines are doubled when workers are present.
