Taylor MCDONNELL – Impaired Operation

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and dangerous driving following a single vehicle collision on Highway 49.

On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of a vehicle in the ditch, just south of Highway 401 in Tyendinaga Township.

Taylor MCDONNELL, a 30-year-old from Gananoque was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drug
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 25, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Rebecca WATSON – Drunk Driving

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and numerous other offences following a dispute in Tyendinaga Township.

On Friday, February 28, 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were called to a residence in Tyendinaga Township. Following an investigation, Rebecca WATSON, a 33-year-old from Tyendinaga Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Resist peace officer
  • Drive motor vehicle – not equipped with ignition interlock device

The accused is being held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee later today (February 28, 2025). Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.

Connor GOUTHRO – Drunk Driving

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On December 9, 2024, just before 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Belleville Road in Tyendinaga Township. Officers arrived on scene and located the driver of the vehicle. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result, Connor GOUTHRO, 23-years-old, of South Frontenac Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.

Andrew BELL-SCOTT Wanted By Police

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad are asking for the public’s help to located a wanted male.

Multiple arrest warrants have been issued as a result of incidents earlier this month in the community.

Andrew BELL-SCOTT of Tyendinaga Township is wanted for:

  • Assault
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property
  • Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use of property
  • Failure to comply with a release order

BELL-SCOTT is described as:

  • 42 years old
  • 5’5″ (165 cm)
  • Muscular build – 77 kg (169 lbs)
  • Blue eyes and black hair
  • Photo attached

The male is known to frequent the Quinte Region and Durham Region.

Wayne LESLIE Was Arrested

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Saturday October 12th, 2024, just before 8:00 p.m., police were conducting stationary traffic enforcement on the Marysville Road Highway 401 on-ramp located in Tyendinaga Township. Police observed a vehicle drive past attempting to merge onto the Highway 401 westbound. The vehicle had a burnt-out taillight. Police conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle on Highway 401 Westbound.

During the traffic stop police observed alcohol and cannabis in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle reveled one gram of suspected cannabis, two grams of suspected hash, one gram of suspected cocaine, thirty-three grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, and $11 000 in cash.

The driver was arrested at the scene.

Wayne LESLIE, age 48 of Kingston, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 26, 2024

Drug Bust – Names Released

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – Three people face multiple charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized drugs and cash at two residences in Deseronto.

On September 5th, 2024, the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), assisted by members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County detachment, as well as the OPP Canine Unit, executed two search warrants at addresses on Mill Street and Brant Street in Deseronto.

A quantity of suspected cocaine and oxycodone pills were seized. Paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking, cell phones, a prohibited weapon, and a large amount of Canadian currency was also seized.

Natinael TESFAGABIR, 22 years old, of Toronto and Jennifer THOMPSON, 32 years old, of Deseronto were arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

Charlene HANNAH, 62 years old, of Deseronto, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

All accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Russell GEEN – Dangerous Operation

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On July 29, 2024, just before 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Moneymore Road in Tyendinaga Township. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the driver, who was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

No injuries were sustained.

As a result, Russell GEEN, age 61, of Tyendinaga Township was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 20, 2024.

Loaded Firearm & Drugs Seized

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people with multiple offences.

On July 21, 2024, just before 1:30 a.m., officers received a call for a collision on Thomas Street in Deseronto. It was reported that a vehicle had flipped onto its side after colliding with an unoccupied, parked vehicle, and that two people had fled on foot. Investigation revealed the vehicle to have been stolen.

Officers attended and apprehended a female a short time later, who was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers then located a male who was subsequently arrested. A search incident to arrest yielded a loaded firearm. Officers additionally located and seized ammunition, a baton, and a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Katelyn SINCLAIR, age 29, of Centre Hastings was charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – three counts
  • Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Assault
  • Breach of recognizance

Brodie BERNHARDT, age 30, of Belleville was charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – three counts
  • Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – two counts
  • Theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Rebecca WATSON – Impaired Driving

(TYENDINAGA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving related offences.

On July 17, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were notified by a neighbouring police service, that a vehicle had been involved in a collision in their jurisdiction and had since fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located at an address in Tyendinaga Township. Officers spoke with the driver who was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result, Rebecca WATSON, age 32, of Tyendinaga Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation
  • Driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on August 6, 2024.
