Dominikue LOVETT – Drunk Driving

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A driver has been charged following a collision in Leamington.

 At approximately 1:37 a.m. on January 17, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a single vehicle collision on County Road 31 in the Municipality of Leamington.

Dominikue LOVETT, 21-years-old of Stoney Point was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic act offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence
  • Fail to produce permit

The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on February 26, 2026, to answer to the charges.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

OPP Raid Port Stanley Business in Cannabis Investigation

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – One person was charged following a drug investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a business in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant for a business in the village of Port Stanley. The warrant was executed with the assistance from Oxford/Brant CSCU, Emergency Response Team, West Region Provincial Liaison Team, and Elgin OPP members.

As a result of the investigation Thomas JACKSON, 50-years-old of Stoney Point was charged under the Cannabis Act with Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.

The accused has been released with the first appearance date of Monday, January 5, 2026, at the St. Thomas Court house.
